Feh, these are just early pot shots.

Shaggy_C 2008-03-08 05:32:03 PM
Well, if they're dancing in the streets it would be easier to kill them. I mean, since Obama seems to be a bit more inclined to actually go after terrorists than anyone from the "I don't know where bin Laden is. I have no idea and really don't care. It's not that important. It's not our priority" party.

Assuming people elected to office are representative of the population, it seems inevitable to me.

Go ahead. Keep that up, Republicans. You're doing great.

I'll be laughing as you descend into irrelevance after your staggering defeats in November. You're going to lose to "B. Hussein O.", and you damn well deserve to.

I'm sick and tired of the bigotry, hate, and fear- and war-mongering from the far right. I'll take high taxes, disjointness, and incompetence over the American right any day.

And to think I'm center-right in world politics ... *shakes head*

Hey, if there's anything the last 7 years have shown us, it's that Democrats no longer have a monopoly on incompetence.

/One nation, woefully mismanaged, polarized, with burgers and flags for all.

I just saw this on the evening news. What a treasonous douche. The GOP and the House should censure him, and his constituents should be calling for his removal.

I don't think I've ever heard a more disgusting attack from an elected representative. Someone like Coulter or Limbaugh? Maybe. Never a US Congressman.

I'm ashamed for our nation.

I hope Obama gets the nomination and whoever gets on the ballot on the Dems side will get the coat tail effect and knock this asshole down a few pegs.

You know that by making that statement, you also made it a fallacy. The fact that your statement, one that is contradictory to all other statements, exists, means that not everything you hear is about sheeple and faux news.

Had you just said that to someone somewhere else, it would still be true.

His middle name does matter," King said. "It matters because they read a meaning into that."

From messages left behind by people on freerepublic.com

- King is right.

Obama does not understand the real nature of the threat of terrorism and he probably sympathizes with them.

Eradicate Islamics from our Presidency.

- Well, they will be dancing in the streets for many reasons: Obama says he'll release the terrorists held at GITMO; he's said America sucks and is a "bully" in international affairs; he's voted against electronic monitoring of terrorist communications; he's said publicly (November 2005) that it is "profiling" and a "violation" of foreigners' "civil liberties" to closely scrutinize visa applicants from Muslim countries; he laments that namesake Hussein is gone; he's promised immediate unconditional surrender to the terrorists in Iraq; he's the terrorist lawyers' favorite candidate and a recipient of millions in campaign contributions from the unpatriotic hacks defending the GITMO terrorists; he sleeps with a woman who hates this country and makes no secret of it; his "pastor" and "mentor" says "white America" got what we deserved on 911. For a foreign terrorist who hates America, what's NOT TO LIKE about Barack Hussein Obama?

- Of course Al-Quaeda will celebrate if Obama is elected. They know, as most Americans don't, that he is a crypto-Muslim and a covert traitor to America.

They will also celebrate if McCain is elected. Even if he fights the WoT in Iraq, he will leave our borders open so Muslim agents may enter our nation and attack our Homeland. What is the use of fighting in Iraq if our Homeland is decimated?

And there is no question they will celebrate if liberal HRC is elected because of her socialist pro-Muslim views.

The only answer for true patriots is to arm ourselves and move our families away from population centers that are likely to be attacked. Our futures will be like the movie 'Red Dawn,' but with the enemy Muslim invaders and traitors instead of Russians and Cubans. That movie proves a determined band of patriots can defeat a powerful enemy.

Is this real? I mean really?

That's it. I mean that's really it. Time to pack up the bags and move to Switzerland. I cannot even begin to fathom that people this ignorant are allowed to be involved in any decision of even moderate importance. Anyone who is so blatantly ignorant needs to be neutered and kept from breeding. I swear to god...I swear to effing god we need population control because if there are people this goddamned dumb, they need to keep their wretched idiocy from infecting any other children who may come about.

Not to mention that King is supposed to be an informed statesman who acts as a representative.

I think i'm going to go throw up.

"His middle name does matter," King said. "It matters because they read a meaning into that."

The Illinois senator, born in Hawaii to a white Kansas woman and a Kenyan man, is a Christian and has said he has little connection to the Islamic religion, though he acknowledges he spent part of his childhood in largely Muslim Indonesia.

Maybe some one should tell this idiot, and other idiots who insist on thinking Obama is a Muslim that he is, in fact, a Christian.

Neeek [TotalFark] 2008-03-08 10:57:59 PM
I remember 9/11 quite vividly. I woke up in a chair in my grandfather's living room to find that a plane had crashed into the World Trade Center.

I do not remember terrorists dancing in the streets. I do remember, however, people that this fellow would regard as our enemies coming out in support of the victims and their families.

/Is DIAF too harsh?

Cue to the apology in 3...2...1...

Ex-Republican 2008-03-08 10:58:58 PM
It's especially ridiculous since Republicans are the ones who allowed 9/11 to happen in the first place. Then after two terms of a Republican in the White House, the Republicans say "we're still not safe from terror".

So basically, voting Republican is the next best thing to treason.

Doc Lee 2008-03-08 10:59:06 PM
Further proof that the far right wing extremist Republicans in this country should be banned permanently. Despite the few ignorant idiots who still support their extremist policies, the rest of the civilized country realizes that they are the greatest threat to the American way of life. They should all be treated as traitors to the country and should be tried for treason.

It's difficult for me to take a congressman seriously when he sounds like he's standing in a puddle of his own urine.

As far as I'm concerned, the US is not in danger of being wiped out by a bunch of theocratic nutjobs hiding in caves on the other side of the world. Our own theocratic nutjobs are the bigger problem.

Seriously, why are Republicans such pussies?

If the Freepers had their way, Romney would have the nomination right now instead of that "libtard" McCain. We'd also be throwing anyone who doesn't pray to cardboard cutouts of our President into prison camps.

/you know who else wanted fanatical devotion from his citizens?

One of the major political parties in Switzerland increased its vote share with cartoons of a black hand reaching into a pot that three white hands were reaching into. They followed this up with blatantly racist and xenophobic statements and policies.

This stuff happens everywhere.

Because it's scare tactics like this that causes weak-minded Americans vote for them. I mean, how Bush wound up winning 2004 is STILL beyond me, and the rest of the world.

Republicans want to stay there, indefinitely.
Democrats want to end this war, period.

You know...if I were the McCain camp, I would be loving this. Some idiot makes a comment like this and McCain can scold the guy for it. He scores points with independents but pisses off the hard right. Of course, the hard right would never vote for a democrat anyway, so it's safe.

I think McCain has enough integrity that he wouldn't encourage this kind of behavior, but he knows how to play this kind of bigotry to his advantage.

I'm embarrassed to be in the same political party as morons like this dude. Though, I'm still pretty sure that anybody who's stupid enough to agree with the guy wouldn't be voting for Obama anyway.

Still, don't these idiots know that the only people they're hurting when they say bigoted stuff is their own party?
