Yes! Another delegate for Obama! F*ck you, little girl!

Uh-oh, little girl. When Hillary finds out about this....

It's a win/win on the Clinton jokes . . . Clinton already got head and/or tail

This is what would happen if Hillary was there.

I'm not skilled enough to superimpose Hillary's head onto Anton's.

True, she isn't old enough to vote, but Catherine does have a favorite candidate: Clinton. (Her mom is an Obama fan but Catherine likes Clinton's health care proposal).

"She thought she had messed up by dropping it, but everyone was like, 'Don't touch it,'" said Jessica Arjet, a professional clown.

Later, Catherine worried about the outcome of the toss. "For some reason last night, I kept on beating myself up," she said.

This article's got it all.... Clinton not getting any head, Obama obviously getting some fine tail, a clown, and a 12 year old girl beating herself up....

/American Politics.
//Enough said.

In Iowa, a friend of mine wasn't sure who she was going to caucus for, so she had a state Congressman from one side and a well-known businessman from the other to Rock-Paper-Scissors 2 out of 3 for her vote.

Oh and I forgot to mention, Hillary's "base" support of little whiny teenage girls.

I honestly wonder why that kid likes Hillary's health-care proposal more than Obama's.

Maybe because she has absolutely no idea what money is worth?

Echoic 2008-03-08 05:14:21 PM
How can a 12 year old girl have a preference on a candidate's health care plan?

Yeah, that part is pretty messed up.

Remove all Republicans: Young people are quite smart. That's why they vote Democratic, until they grow old, bitter, and self-centered Republicans. The problem is stopping before the bitterness sets in.

I'm sorry, but old, bitter, and self-centered politics is not something that's simply a Republican idea. That's a major party theme.

Why??
Sounds like a 13 year old made the 'plan'.
A: Everyone should have healthcare!
B: What if they can't afford it?
A: Force them to buy it, then everyone will have healthcare!
B: *blink*

Too bad nobody had a camera to capture the moment... because that pretty much defines this election.

guilt by association 2008-03-08 05:34:03 PM
I had a thought similar to this the other day. What if this horserace came down to the superdelegates flipping coins?

puffy999 [TotalFark] 2008-03-08 05:41:58 PM
Remove all Republicans: There's another party that's not like that out there.

My point is that it is obviously not the Democratic party.

puffy999 [TotalFark] 2008-03-08 05:45:52 PM
Anyway, if anyone keeping up with the Hillaryis44 site, please let us know if they drag this girl through the mud because of this coin toss. I just think it would be par for the course over there.

"She thought she had messed up by dropping it, but everyone was like, 'Don't touch it,'" said Jessica Arjet, a professional clown.

It spun on the ground. Seemed to spin for 30 seconds, said Catherine, who is home-schooled.

I hate when article writers do shiat like that, throwing inane details in the body of the story.

Also, one would think they could think of a better way to choose what to do with their delegates. a) Give 13 to each candidate, forfeiting one delegate, b) Find out how neighboring districts voted and give the odd delegate to whomever the others gave the popular vote, c) pretty much anything.

a) you can't forfeit a delegate
b) so they should have waited several days for the results to come in and then give the delegate to who had the popular vote? Riiiight
c) this is 'pretty much anything'

mistahtom 2008-03-08 05:59:58 PM
Isn't that like voting? And don't you have to be 18 to do that?

We need a national primary

But (at least in other caucus states) you can have "undecided" delegates. They probably should have done that.

Sandelaphon 2008-03-08 06:09:35 PM
Wasn't mine, 38-19 delegate split Obama/Hillary GObama! And now I'm a delegate to the county convention, where we elect delegates to the state convention where they elect delegates to the national...

Though we did come to within 1-2 votes of a 39-18 split.

Do you mean the superdelegates? They're undecided now simply because they haven't publicly declared who they're voting, but they'll need to vote if it gets to the convention.

If you mean the regular delegates, where are you reading this? If a delegate can be undecided, then what's the point of being a delegate.

What are the odds that all you Obamaheads would be up in arms about the social injustice perpetrated by the DNC machine if that coin had landed on the other side?

Were this for a national delegate, I'd likely be up in arms either way. This was for a precinct delegate, about two steps down from there. In the end Obama still wins the same amount of the delegates that ultimately count.

Zero, actually. Someone might complain, but it would be an empty complaint.
If that one delegate decides the winner of the primary... then someone can start to complain.

FAIL.

I was dismayed to see that Obama won the coin toss. Give it to Hillary. It's not like one delegate makes a difference. I'm tired of hearing about her threatening lawsuits all over the place.

It's actually amazing how many MSM pundits give her credit for "fighting" so hard (by making threats every time she loses, or just not acknowledging that she lost).

I wouldn't mind if the POTUS was elected by a coin-toss, but since I'm not American, I can not give a toss.

Or vote.

Unless somebody's figured out a way to get around that wet blanket, eBay. In Italy some guys offered their votes(as "free gifts") with the purchase of a pencil. I think it would be cool to vote in other country's elections. Ru Paul for President!

No, thanks. I'd rather not have an election season entirely dominated by name recognition and the values and issues of three states. It's bad enough as it is.
