What, was the obvious tag too busy hiding from the IRA? Her claims of experience are UTTER RUBBISH, to borrow a UK phrase.

By "helped broker the peace" she means "distracted Bill from hitting on all the beddable redhead wives and angering the political leaders."

One of the Clinton's lied? I don't believe it. Bill and Hill have been so honest with all of us "folks" ever since they first slithered into politics.

Well, that rescue would never have happened if there had been no war so her vote for the war sort of made it happen.

burndtdan 2008-03-07 11:02:22 PM
let's worry about mccain getting frustrated at a reporter, or obama's advisor discussing her dissatisfaction with the way clinton is campaigning...

but don't bother fact-checking her spurious claims. no, let's just give her the benefit of the doubt, or if we find something, mention it once and move on.

Let's light this on fire, Obama. Challenge her bullshiat on Northern Ireland and watch it crumble.

The fact that the principal guy there called bullsh*t will make this stick if Obama goes after her. She claims she brokered a peace deal, he calls her a silly cheerleader. It doesn't get better than that.

I was under the impression that she brokered the Camp David Accords, but it turned out she just drove around in an Accord with some guy named David this one time at Band Camp.

When she started in with the '35 years of experience' bullshiate, I said "Hey - I've watched General Hospital for 35 years, does that mean I can be a heart surgeon?" I've watched it, so I should be 'comfortable' doing it.

Bigger exaggeration than anything Gore ever said. . .and yet the press gnawed Gore to death and gives Hillary a free pass. If only SNL had come to Gore's rescue we might have avoided the entire Bush presidency.

But then we would have had a boring, competent president over the past seven years. It's been quite a trip on the FAILBOAT with Bush.

McCain admitted that he gave classified national security information to the NVA during the Vietnam War, and that is much more worthy of discussion, IMO.

She's starting to come across as more and more of a whiny housewife. I used to think she was just an evil politician...

I work soooo hard. I work 24/7/365. I'm an accountant because I paid the phone bill. I'm a master chef because I made spaghetti. I'm a doctor because I put a band-aid on my kid.

You're a whiny biatch.

Lord Trimble said: "The Women's Coalition will think they were important. Other people beg to differ."

BUUUUUUUUUUURN.

"I remember a meeting that I pulled together in Belfast, in the town hall there, bringing together for the first time Catholics and Protestants from both traditions, having them sitting a room where they had never been before with each other because they don't go to school together, they don't live together and it was only in large measure because I really asked them to come that they were there.

a) she is sorely mistaken if she thinks that she brought the Catholics and Protestants together for the first time.
b) Saying that the two sides in the Northern Ireland issue are Protestants and Catholics is severely trivializing the matter and is complete bush-league high-school politics. Jesus, you learn this shiat in undergrad.

Too bad we'll be extremely lucky if this ever hits the US news outside of Fox if Clinton in nominated. I can't believe the woman can constantly repeat that she has over 30 years of experience, but always completely fail to back it up with anything legitimate.

Deadite 2008-03-08 04:13:10 AM
I've said this before (forgot which thread) but if Hillary has experience by being the first lady then shouldn't Monica Lewinsky be running since she was actually in the oval office? Sure it's hard to hear from under the desk but she has Presidential experience using Hillary's mindset.

Poli means city or an independent area (Greek)
tics are involuntary movements or muscle spasms [ticks are the parasites]
hence politics are spasming cities. Which is about right.

I dunno. McCain was being tortured. I don't really begrudge anyone who is being tortured saying anything to make it stop.

I know I would, and so would you.

Of course, that's why you can't trust information gotten from torture: The tortured will say anything to make it stop.

you know what would be best for the party?

clinton drops out and obama stays out of the news, except for rather mundane fund raisers in which he replies directly to any challenges/questions mccain poses.

then he breaks out the change/hope routine when the general election begins again.

by definition the democrats' (who say they aren't conservative) greatest strength is their belief in progress and change. but listening to the stump speech every damn day gets old. so drop out, clinton, let him save the speeches for the election that counts. otherwise the novelty of progress will wear off among the general public.

Are you serious? I don't agree or support McCain in anyway (hell, I'm not even american) but attacking someone for what they did under torture is just too low, even for politics.

Radioactive Man Ass: youtube's okay. however, all pictures of clinton have "CRAZY LADY MAKES BABY MAO CRY" captioned under them.

seriously, the idea of a clinton dynasty bothers me. haven't we already learned what an under qualified hanger-on family member of a former president does to the country? that being said, if she wins the nomination i'll vote for her, and hope she's wins, just so i can stick it to people here who think women can never succeed in politics, people who point to the two greatest countries (the prc and the us of course, as they see it) never having a female leader as proof.
