I first heard of her and saw her at Springing The Blues in Jacksonville. She was great! And I see she's only gotten better. Quite the talent. I wish she'd be at this years STB.

I wonder if I can get Roger to get her on the Blues Cruise??

Go check her out if you get the chance!!

Easy on the eyes, easy on the ears. I'm impressed. Nice find subby.

Wish the rest of the band had the passion she does. They seemed to just be playing the notes. Maybe it's just in comparison to that soulful acapella intro.

We'll have to go give them a look...if there are any clubs left in Boston for her to play in. Is anyone else around here as upset as I am about the ClearChannel deals that have been going on with the Lyons group lately? My wife and I go to about 2 or 3 shows a month on average. Without Axis and Avalon "the way they were", it could really start sucking. I can't imagine the Paradise can change that much, but we've got 6 shows coming up there, and it would suck if the whole place moves into Smooth Jazz or something.

That's about the most awesome thing I've ever seen

Pipes, chops, and soul - the very definition of smokin' hot

I've been digging on them for a while. Sure wish they'd play somewhere close...

Actually I'd like anyone to play close to us but Grace would be a bonus.

Who was running the lights at that show? Terrible.

I'd gladly make her a sinner

The whole CD is awesome (and comes with a DVD shot in VT a year or 2 back) and well worth the purchase. Toothbrush and My Table, Treat Me Right, Joey...the whole CD...all great songs.

/Check out Eric Lindell too
//tons of stuff on YouTube

Shes ok but in this age of shiat music, a 1CT diamond will shine as bright as a 20CT diamond

/this has to be the worst decade for music

They started out at my Alma Mater- they've just gotten better and better. Also, Grace is real nice. I hope they make it huge! They're playing at All Points West this summer.

steamingpile even worse than the 80s?

Well, I found that kind of boring. Just the same old blues.

She has a lot of talent, but everything she sings is sort of over the top. Give her about ten years and she could be an amazing performer.

She did a three night stint at the Paradise in December, and rocked every night.

For anyone who likes this clip, go buy This is Somewhere right now. It was my favorite album of 2007 by a long shot, and it seemed to have made nobody else's list. I have a general rule to not see anyone live twice without them releasing some new material (just to save money), but I saw Grace 4 times in 6 months since the release of This is Somewhere. Their live show is just that good.

And for those who want to see something else, Her, Satriani, Kimock, and more covering Cortez the Killer

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BAD!

Twizang 2008-03-10 06:32:57 AM
The first time they played my club, they wouldn't let me charge more than $5 a ticket. They wanted to pack the place. They did.
The second time they played my club, they charged $14. They packed the club. The third time they played my club, they sold out 2 shows in two nights. They got themselves a high-priced agent.

We tried to move them to a much, much larger venue (for Vermont) and their agent laughed and said no way.

Forget where you come from, and people will forget who you are. See you on the way back down, darlin'.

/Scott Tournet (guitarist) is as talented as she is
