Now look what you have done, in comparing Cthulhu to Hillary you have made him self conscious and neurotic. And now he is rising from the depths of R'yleh to binge eat until he feels better... nice job asshole.

Off the record means off the record. Still, Hillary cannot win a presidential election. No point debating any issues, slur tactics, whatever, she cannot win.

Now's a good time for this joke I received last night:

~~

The Pope and Hillary Rodham Clinton are on the same stage in front of a huge crowd.

'Her Majesty' and His Holiness, however, have seen it all before, so to make it a little more interesting, the senator says to the Pope, "Did you know that with just one little wave of my hand I can make every Democrat in the crowd go wild?"

He doubts it, so she shows him. Sure enough, the wave elicits rapture and cheering from every democrat in the crowd. Gradually, the cheering subsides.

The Pope, not wanting to be out done by such a level of arrogance, considers what he could do. "That was impressive. But did you know that with just one little wave of MY hand I can make EVERY person in the crowd go crazy with joy? This joy will not be a momentary display like that of your subjects, but will go deep into their hearts, and they will forever speak of this day and rejoice."

The senator seriously doubts this, and says so. "One little wave of your hand and all people will rejoice forever? Show me."

.

.

.

So the Pope slapped her.

Bill Frist: The real outrage should be that the newspaper printed the quote when the person asked for it to be off the record.

This, that and the other.

First thing I thought of - why is the reporter not getting reamed for this? If there is any backlash from this it should be that each campaign will not want to speak with the press.

Considering the vitriol of the Clinton campaign, she kinda did.

That's not to say she won't be back after the campaign is over, though. We might see her again down the road.

Ahh, but when she smells blood is when she's toughest to beat.

And she knows it.

So she ain't goin' away anytime soon.

I'm not saying Obama will lose the nomination. I'm just saying Hillary's side is totally justified in staying in it, and things are only going to get nastier and political blood will flow.

The journalist was legally ALLOWED to publish it, but it was still wrong of him or her to do so.

Especially when Power is an unpaid Obama aide, not part of the staff, and was touring the UK to promote her book, not to talk about Obama.

No. the real outrage is that there are a bunch of idiots who think Obama is above politics as usual. He is a politician. The word is derived from politic; "poli-" meaning many and "tic" meaning blood sucking parasite. They are all the same. Don't ever be fooled!!

Kerry, Gore, Dukakis... all of them were leading in the polls at this point against their republican opponents.

They all lost in the fall.

FTA

"She is a monster, too - that is off the record - she is stooping to anything," she said, trying to retract the statement in mid-sentence.

In the Scotsman interview, Power went on to say: "You just look at her and think, 'ergh.' But if you are poor and she is telling you some story about how Obama is going to take your job away, maybe it will be more effective. The amount of deceit she has put forward is really unattractive."

Isn't she speaking the truth? She apparently defines monster as someone who will stoop to anything. I guess that in politics you can never just cut to the chase and call a spade a spade.

If you define character as a sliding scale between Angel and Monster, Obama and McCain are nearer to the Angel side than Clinton II.

And to be Honest she ended up losing Texas by three delegates. The press just gave her the "win" based on the primary voting. The caucuses gave Obama a 3 delegate lead.
