Well, he did popularize the technique of stealing the music from another song and chanting new words over it.

If you weren't dead, I would kill you myself. Thanks for promoting the lifestyle your people need to escape. Thanks for doing more to promote racial stereotypes than all the KKK members could dream of in the '60s.

PC LOAD LETTER, 'they' did escape. Just like the genre in white movies aren't spaghetti westerns as much as the early 60s, so has the landscape of hip-hop changed back to dance tunes for most black folks. Sorry if you missed the change; you don't have to be afeard any more until the next go-round. I, for one, miss it, and wish folks could still come up with creative rhymes for shooting folks. Some of the greats that could ended up dying. Live by the sword, and so on...

/if you really liked the genre, many more topics to listen about
//you probably don't, tho'

Who's playing Suge Knight, a hardcore gangster record mogul doing time for murder?

Biggie was actually good. Unlike Tupac I find he actually lived (lol) up to the hype. Of course, like most hip hop, his songs sound better when covered by Mindless Self Indulgence.

So rapping about one's crappy life promoting a lifestyle? What should they rap about? Subdivisions and private schools?

People are so quick to say "Don't blame movies for school shootings!" or "Don't blame Manson for Columbine!" but it is always the rappers fault for the troubles in the inner cities.

Double standard much? Let's say I rap about stapling my nuts to the wall and hundreds of kids do it. Who's fault is it? Mine or the farking idiots who mimic song lyrics?

Also: How come Guns N Roses or any other heavy metal band are given a free ride when it comes to promoting lifestyles?

sickb0y 2008-03-07 03:14:49 AM
Duh. Everyone knows rap predates violence, drugs, guns, and inner city ghettos.

Sample lyrics by BIG
"I got techniques drippin out my buttcheeks
Sleep on my stomach so I don't fark up my sheets, huh
My shiat is deep, deeper than my grave G
I'm ready to die and nobody can save me
fark the world, fark my moms and my girl

Ok, you can argue that Biggie changed the game, but it's not his fault that every rapper in the late 90's wanted to sound like him; he was the best.

Now I'm thirteen, smokin' blunts, makin' cream
On the drug scene, fark a football team
Riskin' ruptured spleens by the age of sixteen
Hearin' the coach scream at my lifetime dream, I mean
I wanna blow up, stack my dough up
So school I didn't show up, it farked my flow up
Mom said that I should grow up and check myself
before I wreck myself, disrespect myself
Put the drugs on the shelf? Nah, couldn't see it
Scarface, King of New York, I wanna be it
Rap was secondary, money was necessary
Until I got incarcerated--kinda scary
C74-Mark 8 set me straight
Not able to move behind the great steel gate
Time to contemplate, damn, where did I fail?
All the money I stacked was all the money for bail...

Talent. Nuff said.
