Heehee! Incognito. I remember the Jayhawks, they are the only team that my school's beaten this year.

loopback 2002-11-03 03:20:58 PM
Hmm... I suppose im the only Miami fan.

Guy Incognito 2002-11-03 03:22:33 PM
baylor! i understand they tore down the goalposts after that game.

well, KU got beat 64-0 yesterday. can't get the damn jayhawk fans to sit down and shut up during basketball season, but you can always rub in football season to 'em.

EmoChild 2002-11-03 03:23:24 PM
I'm glad that laughing joke of a team notre dame has finally been shown to be a bunch craptasticly crappy overranked crapycraps.

EmoChild 2002-11-03 03:25:56 PM
Miami will end up loosing at least two games this season. Anyone who trails Rutgers for three quarters doesn't deserve to be ranked in the top 10.

Oklahoma vs Ohio State at the Fiesta bowl.

It's going to be one hell of a game.

TheDude42 2002-11-03 03:27:01 PM
BOOOMER!

HANSONSWINE 2002-11-03 03:28:35 PM
Emochild..you are retarded..they are nowhere in the league of a Miami or Oklahoma..hell..they would be middle of the Pac-10..

loopback 2002-11-03 03:29:21 PM
Miami may lose a few games but they have one hell of a program nonetheless.

RobbieFal 2002-11-03 03:30:18 PM
OU in the final game?

are you underestimating Oklahoma State again?

Nebraska v. KU should be an ugly game

RF

Wieland_the_Newfangled 2002-11-03 03:32:25 PM
After yesterday, they deserve to be unranked.

dmd8605 2002-11-03 03:32:46 PM
I do believe Ohio State is going all the way on the shoulders of Brutus. Voted best mascot in the country, baby!

EmoChild 2002-11-03 03:34:59 PM
HANSONSWINE, Middle of the PAC-10?
Wipe the drool of your shirt for a moment and recall that Ohio State thoroughly trounced Washington State... the current leader of the PAC-10.

Testicleus 2002-11-03 03:36:16 PM
I'm a huge Bucks fan, but while they have a really strong defense, I'm not sure their offense could get them a win against Miami, VaTech, or Oklascrota.

I do remember years ago when my step-biatch, err.. mother said "OSU is sure playing good." She's from Oklascrota and was refering to the Cowboys of OSU, and I said "Yeah, the Buckeyes are playing good aren't they."

RobbieFal 2002-11-03 03:36:25 PM
and right now on ESPN's KU page, the top sport listed is Basketball. Not Football.

KU basketball is laughable. They are choke artists. Not to mention that KU is playing any shiatty non-conference team they can find this year

Some KU opponents..

11/12 Washburn
11/19 Holy Cross (The Rematch! After 16 seed Holy Cross lead KU at halftime in the tournament!)

12/14 Emporia State TBA

Emporia State isn't even 1A, right?

01/2 NC Asheville TBA

Never heard of them

01/4 UMKC TBA

UMKC basketball still blows, although KU should hope they don't beat UMKC by just 11 this year.

As long as KU doesn't play Ball State, they might get though their first 6 without losing. :)

Isomorphic 2002-11-03 03:37:27 PM
Miami wasn't playing for the first three quarters. They didn't care. Then they noticed that Rutgers was still winning, and they started playing.

Miami's VERY good, but eventually that kind of arrogance will get them burned. They didn't really beat Florida State, they just got lucky and didn't lose on that last field goal attempt.

Oklahoma deserves to be #1 right now. If Miami wants to be #1, they have to start playing like it.

Drumblestunk 2002-11-03 03:38:05 PM
SOONER!

TofuTheAlmighty 2002-11-03 03:39:00 PM
Miami is the most capable program in college football . . . unfortunately they haven't been playing like it the past couple games. If Miami pulls their heads out of the asses, no one in college football will be able to touch them, including Oklahoma. The Fiesta Bowl between these two will be a good game but the victory will belong to the team riding a 34-game winning streak.

Oh yeah, OSU sucks.

Alph 2002-11-03 03:39:50 PM
go USC!!

anyone?

EmoChild 2002-11-03 03:41:24 PM
Testicleus,

Ohio State could make Miami and Oklahoma their biatches. OSU has won the last two games against ranked teams without their star offensive player. When he comes back they will be utterly unbeatable.

ROCKSURFER 2002-11-03 03:42:57 PM
who ever heard of voting for the best team? College ball sucks.

Testicleus 2002-11-03 03:43:05 PM
I agree with Isomorphic, if Miami would stop being cocky and just play the game... they'd be a smoking #1. Even their coach yesterday said something along the lines of "We are the #1 team no matter what anyone votes."

but dude, your boys have to show up and play for that to happen.

EmoChild 2002-11-03 03:43:48 PM
Then what the hell are you doing on this thread ROCKSURFER?

CaptainPOE 2002-11-03 03:43:53 PM
Bleh, the NC State Georgia Tech game was awful. NC State just couldn't do crap, Rivers kept over throwing his receivers, TA just couldn't ever really break free and make any plays and everyone else just liked to drop the ball whenever they did have a chance. Not to mention the fact that whenever NC State did make a good play the refs were penalty happy and screwed us over time and time again. We had an interception, and they called it an incomplete pass. They showed the replay on the scoreboard screen and you could see he easily landed in bounds. NC State played a bad game but they still should have won.

loopback 2002-11-03 03:44:40 PM
I disagree Emo. Miami has one of the best defensive and offensive squads in the country. Ohio State is not really a high scoring team with their star offensive player or not.

Testicleus 2002-11-03 03:46:15 PM
EmoPhillips,

I know OSU is good, but just because Maurice "The Beast" hasn't played and they've beaten two ranked teams doesn't mean they can hang with OU or Miami.

I don't question that their offense is better with Clarett, but I'm not confident they could put up the points... however... I will be MORE than happy to see them get their shot.

EmoChild 2002-11-03 03:46:51 PM
Bah..
Miami is going to loose to both Tennessee and V-Tech. Afterwards they will squeak out a win in some looser bowl.

RobbieFal 2002-11-03 03:48:45 PM
I beat Michigan beats Ohio State. :)

loopback 2002-11-03 03:50:38 PM
Possibly to V-Tech ,which will be a very good game, but definately not to Tennessee. I dont understand all the fuss surounding Tennessee; they simply have nothing.

Cubs_Win 2002-11-03 03:53:19 PM
Only a matter of time till they realize that Ohio State sucks too. Michigan will beat them as would Iowa if they had to play them.

HANSONSWINE 2002-11-03 03:53:51 PM
all i know is people keep talking down about the Pac10 and when my school played Texas and Colorado in bowl games..well let us just say..smackage occured..

MrBadSport 2002-11-03 03:55:02 PM
Only one other person thinks that Michigan will beat OSU (And OSU is Ohio State, Oklahoma State and Oregon State are definitely not OSU). Hey Ohio State... Remember the last two times you were on your way to the nat'l championship? I do believe that Michigan has ruined their hopes more often than OSU has ruined Michigan. This will be another one of those years.

A Michigan fan, but a Purdue student as of next year. Uh-oh.

jbc [TotalFark] 2002-11-03 04:03:17 PM
Ten teams that Blowhio State wouldn't have a shot in hell against:

1. Oklahoma
2. Miami
3. Knowthey're Lame
4. Iowa
5. Michigan
6. Mt. Union
7. Texas
8. Colorado
9. Georgia
10. Cincinnati Bungles

Maizrim 2002-11-03 04:12:56 PM
I know OSU is good, but just because Maurice "The Beast" hasn't played and they've beaten two ranked teams doesn't mean they can hang with OU or Miami.

Actually OSU has beaten 4 ranked teams so far this season.

Washington State and Penn State are currently ranked while Wisconsin was ranked #15 and Minnesota was #19 when we played them.

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/teamsched?teamId=194
http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/rankings?poll=2&week=7

With Michigan being ranked #11 right now, a victory (knock on wood) will only make our strength of schedule even better.

The strength of schedule margin between Miami and OSU got smaller this week after we beat #19 Minnesota and they beat Rutgers.

http://teamrankings.com/ncf/

Should be a fun last month of college football.

Go Bucks!

Isomorphic 2002-11-03 04:14:05 PM
Fun fact about my school's football season:

No Maryland game has been decided by less than 22 points. That's right, our 22-0 pounding at the hands of Notre Dame in our season opener is the closest game we've been in all year. Most recent score, vs UNC: 59-7 in favor of Maryland.

Maizrim 2002-11-03 04:16:19 PM
Hey Ohio State... Remember the last two times you were on your way to the nat'l championship?

Actually the last time we were ranked #1 (It was '98), we beat Michigan 31-16. It was Michigan St that denied us our championship, not the Wolverines.

Maizrim 2002-11-03 04:18:04 PM
Hey Isomorphic, I was the biggest Terp fan yesterday. Living in NC makes it VERY easy to hate Carolina.

astro716 2002-11-03 04:19:56 PM
Even though we lost we still lead the Big XII North and have a chance at winning the Big XII Championship two years in a row. GO BUFFS! This kid believes me

EmoChild 2002-11-03 04:22:31 PM
Yeah.. Go Buffs....

That zillion to 3 ass whooping from USC must still be stinging eh?

Isomorphic 2002-11-03 04:22:40 PM
CaptainPOE: The NC State loss was no surprise. They're a good team, but most of their games had been against middle-of-the-road teams. The strongest team they'd played was Texas Tech, and that was a very close game. Now they face Maryland, Florida State, and Virginia. I wouldn't favor them in any of those games, although they'll probably manage to win one. Obviously I'm hoping it's not Maryland.

MacGabhain 2002-11-03 04:22:51 PM
Loopback:
One of the best defensive squads in the country doesn't allow
17 points by Florida A&M,
21 by Temple,
14 by Connecticut,
23 by West Virginia and
17 by Rutgers.
I would be surprised if Miami doesn't lose two of it's next four games. Tennesee, Pittsburgh and Virginia Tech all have more than enough to beat them.

Drumblestunk 2002-11-03 04:24:47 PM
Astro: I remember seeing that kid during the game last year. It just gets funnier.

acrodizer 2002-11-03 04:26:08 PM

Best running back that is completely ignored!
