I'm much more concerned with the radical militarism and home-grown jackbooted nationalism here in the US, that people try to pass off as "patriotism", even though these "patriots" don't even bat an eyelash as the Constitution is slowly dismantled. Acting like there is no threat is unrealistic. We can argue what the extent of that threat is reasonably and fairly, but to say that there is no threat is just intellectually dishonest, especially given the policies of the administration in the last eight years that likely haven't decreased the threat on the whole.

Seriously, just cause someone you don't like says something doesn't mean you should automatically dismiss it. Doing things like that makes you seem like a zealot rather than someone who is reasonable.
