Why, just last week the homeless mariachi player who plays outside my local coffee shop was offered an iPod commercial. Those unknowns sure get the best commercial contracts.

Is there anything even remotely worth watching in the top viewed positions, whether it is daily, weekly, monthly or all time?

So farking unknown that they are playing before Radiohead at APW Festival in New York.

This vid gets at least 1.6 million views a day while all of the top vids get between 20k to 200k a day. The video isn't that good, not worth seeing that many times.

Youtube has to stop counting views for vids embedded on other sites. what probably happened was that this video was embedded on 250+ websites. those sites had auto refresh so that the video kept playing over and over again.

I have to admit that I tracked this video down after watching the iPod commercial and thinking the tune was rather catchy. Searched the intertubes, found the YouTube vid and watched it a few times just to hear the music. I played it maybe 10 times until I got sick of it. If a few hundred thousand people did the same thing, suddenly you get 40 million hits in 3 weeks. I'm not that surprised by this really.

CSS isn't that unknown. I've heard of them, for smeg's sake.

Saw them at the Commodore opening for Ladytron on my birthday a couple of years back. They looked like high school theatre club kids with their one outrageous friend as the singer. They were entertaining. I found their music uninteresting (for my taste) but they put on a better show than Ladytron, whose music is farkin awesome.

People are stupid.

i had some pretty out there pictures since i get paid to make art. but i just didn't like people i knew from a long time ago internet stalking me on there, it is the same reason i'm not on facebook. if i don't talk to that person , it is ussually for a reason and thusly i don't need them to find me again.

that being said everyone i know of fotolog was either from calgary or brazil. i ended up getting crazy comments like "did you dream of me last night my prince?" (see what i mean about internet stalking) and ones like "i lik cooolers in tis pic. u r vry luck faced.". yeah, it was like fark without so many lolcats.

Unknown? Gees subby, you can't read a mag or turn on the tele without seeing CSS. How's that rock you're living under?
