These people should STFU and use their newly gained knowledge to figure a way to get some farking roadsigns put up in Massachusetts. Driving through that state makes about as much sense as playing ET on the Atari 2600.

Driving on Cape Ann is scary because the speed limits change every couple hundred feet. I'm guessing the state used a computer program to set speed limits on all roads and didn't really care how much sense they made.

So I guess they'd only watch a Yankees vs Red Sox game when the Sox are at home?

Get over yourselves.

If this is the worst thing you have to complain about, STFU and count your blessings.

If I was there graduating with some Yankees fans talking about how awesome the place was I'd probably say, "Yeah, we won the 2004 ALCS here."

These folks should get over it, they're graduating, stop whining - you're supposed to be adults.

tdpatriots12:

PLEASE tell me that the pic is for the student whining about how a graduation ceremony at Yankee Stadium is like "betraying [her] roots", rather than Doctor Funkenstein's comment about the poor sinage job by the Massachusettes DOT.

Never mind. Sorry for doubting you.

The former. My dad had a saying about driving in Boston (or Mass for that matter)

"Drive like you hate everybody"

Sad? More like Asinine, Subby.

skinink 2008-03-01 03:31:12 PM

Typical Boston Herald drivel. They find a few whiny Massachusetts residents, and call it enough to write a story. This is the same newspaper whose resident columnist, Howie Carr, cannot write any column without name checking either Billy Bulger, Whitey Bulger, or both. Being a Rupert Murdoch paper, it's not surprising this is what passes for a story over there.

I think their editors were hired right from the Pine Street Inn homeless shelter a few blocks away.

Good God, you went to NYU, what did you expect, your graduation to be at Fenway. I have the Yankees as much as the next person, but get the fark over it.

Farkin_Crazy 2008-03-01 03:31:48 PM
Still upset about what the Gints did to the Cheatriots, snowflake?

Ikam 2008-03-01 03:32:44 PM
have=hate. Although I wouldn't mind "have", some of them are rather cute.

chtorran [TotalFark] 2008-03-01 03:33:22 PM
I think they have a valid complaint. Since they hate the Yankees so much, lets give them a special honor and let the NY Giants hand out their diplomas.

generaltimmy 2008-03-01 03:34:31 PM
Did that fancy learnin teach them to properly pronounce Car?...it is car, not cahhhh

Dont attend.

rollersnake 2008-03-01 03:35:39 PM
I have never wanted to reach through the intertubes to slap someone so bad in my life. What a bunch of whiny-ass brats. Get over yourselves already.

TheHumanCannonball 2008-03-01 03:35:54 PM
Booo farkity hooooo.

Those NJsians in Hartford last night for Bruce Springsteen can go fark themselves too.

McJudo 2008-03-01 03:36:38 PM
I can understand them being upset, I mean with the complete lack of quality schools in Massachusetts.

/oh, wait

TheHumanCannonball 2008-03-01 03:37:46 PM
Oh also, in like 1000 years, will the followers of the "Yanks" be fighting a holy war with the followers of the "Soxs"?

I imagine this is how the bloodshed between the different Shiites and Sunni started oh so long ago.

jackbooty 2008-03-01 03:38:06 PM
Massholes.

///Yes, I know why

Steve Zodiac 2008-03-01 03:40:38 PM
I've never been in Yankee Stadium. Do they have a video replay board? Can it be looped to play the last 3 minutes of the SuperBowl during the ceremonies?

CaptainBeer 2008-03-01 03:41:10 PM
Fleet Center. Apparently my edumacation wasn't so greet.

You noticed that too? God, the place was lousy with big-haired bridge and tunnel rats. Someone behind me was wearing a Devils jersey with Springsteen on the back.

Githerax 2008-03-01 04:01:50 PM
Why go to NYU? I guess they don't have any good colleges in Boston.

Wow, you New Yorkers gave up on the Yankees fast, having to reach for the Giants like that in a Sox-Yankees thread.

Don't worry, your Yanks will probably be good.

farbiez 2008-03-01 04:11:09 PM
Ancher, who grew up in Upton, Mass. said receiving her diploma at Yankee Stadium would be tantamount to "betraying my roots."

Does this one realize that she's been spending 50K a year to attend a school in New York not in Boston? Massholes never cease to amaze me. Maybe she could contact Big Papi and see if he can make a special trip to hand her her diploma and make it all better?

I think they don't care because no one in Mass pays any attention to speed limits anyways.

Lessee. Your share of $3,000 a month for a village apartment plus Books, fees and lattes for four years. Yeah, graduating in Boston sucks. But worse is you're now $150,000 in debt.

Nevermind the fact, that b/c they're holding it in the stadium, more of their friends and family members will be able to see it.... Forget them, they're not nearly as important as your "roots".

I enjoyed my NYU graduation held at Washington Square Park, so I'm really getting a kick out of these replies.

I skipped the one in Washington Square Park and just went to the one at Madison Square Garden for my school, so I'm getting a kick out of people complaining about the big, impersonal one.
