So I'm not the only one, thank god!
Do you think you could have a word with my neighbors? They keep biatching that it's 'bad for the environment' or some suck drivel, but you can't argue with results.

cool. but i'd be more impressed if they "liberated" some billboards in birmingham or indianapolis. i'm thinking it would have more of an impact than in san fran.

All in favor of constructive and intelligent vandalism?

/Maybe. As long as I don't get caught.

I once changed a movie billboard. I removed 2 letters from the sign, changing the title from "pennies from heaven" to "penis from heaven". Did not get a picture of it though, too busy running.

What makes it "hippie"?

OtitisMEDIA 2008-02-29 01:06:41 PM
orrinbloquy: AT&T.
Your world.
Delivered.
To the NSA.

A friend of mine used to work for the ad agency doing the media buying for AT&T (they recently went with another agency, but that's not important). So sometime last year he received a presentation from the client that had been sent to them from a radio station sales rep somewhere in Bumfark, USA. The client hadn't looked at it, they wanted him to do an analysis of the proposal to see if it was any good, as that was his job, etc. Now, ad agencies hate it when the station reps go around their backs and talk directly to the client, and it often is because the proposal is completely different from the direction they are headed in ... but he looked it over, and gave his professional opinion back to the radio station ... namely that it was a shiate buy, and there was no reason to waste money in this manner. In addition, he informed the rep that the next time he submitted a proposal, to do a better job finding a current logo to slap on every single page. Apparently, he had used the image of AT&T's logo-as-the-Death-Star, with the phrase quoted above.

Corvus: I am not a person who likes graffiti... But this is full of the awesome!

But you do like graffiti. This is exactly the purpose of graffiti: to take visual control of your environment back from corporate and government interests. You just haven't seen any you liked until now.

What makes it "hippie"?

Actions declaring themselves BLF often target products tested on animals and other hippie causes.
