He can't leave. What would he do with that huge hideous Motley Crue tattoo?

uhm, he was a founding member.

/I'm shocked to learn they're still around though

I saw them on the Dr Feelgood tour. They didn't feel too good.

Their stage stopped working about 40 minutes into the show, the show stopped for a half hour while the roadies crawled all over it plugging in things that should have already been plugged in.

Then the band staggered back out, wandered through a few more songs, then left.

No apology. No time made up. No encore. They didn't even play 'Dr Feelgood'.

FTWikipedia: Tommy Lee - drums, percussion, backing vocals (1981-1999, 2004-present)

I guess you are right (if you forget the last 4 years).

The only person that left in the entire history of CRUE is VINCE NEIL for a period of one album and quickly came back to the fold when it was apparent that the band wouldn't survive without him. Surprising, considering that its NIKKY SIXX Who writes everything.

/even if you don't like metal read their autobiography written by the whole band, I forget the bame right now, got a bottle of jack on the cover. Its the best read, since its apparent when you read it that this was the most decadent band that walked the earth

You're thinking of The Dirt. They're milking that cash cow dry. The new album is named The Dirt, and the book is being turned into a movie.

I have no good excuse for why I missed the reunion tour or the tour with Aeriosmith, I definitely want to see the next tour.

I seriously had no idea. But then again, lots of people are in the dark about this because the headline went green. It's all about perception I guess.

/When will they make relevant music again?
//I miss the Livewire days.

Yeah, Nikki may write everything, John Colrabi is a damn good singer (I just hate that The Scream didn't do anything else after he left to join Motley Crue), and the album they did with John as lead singer was excellent (assuming that you're into that kind of music in the first place.)

It just didn't sound like Motley Crue.

Bit of an overstatement.
He's good, but there are many better.
i.e.
Bill Ward
Nicko McBrian
Vinny Appice
Neil Peart
Eric Singer
Stew Copeland
Tommy Aldridge

"Dust off" heeheehee..."Bump" heeheehee.
Never dug the 'Crue. The book was funny and entertaining, though. The point has been well-documented in the past, by better musicians. Fame and money ruin narcissistic douchebags.

Tommy Lee sucks so much, he in fact sucks his own dick.

Strangeguitar,

list is awesome, just add Travis Barker and Brooks Wackerman to that list and its awesome

/I think Stuart Copeland is underrated

Uhmm...yeah, Tommy Lee did quit Motley Crue. Randy Castillo was the drummer on New Tattoo, and he probably would still be the drummer if he was alive.

Motley Crue rocks. I saw them back in the day a few times and three times on the reunion tour. I like the music they play and they always have put on a great show for me when I saw them live. If you haven't check out the Carnival of Sins DVD and you will see they still have it, even Mick Mars despite not being able to move that good because of that bone disease he has.

I remember at the Birmingham, AL show when they did Home Sweet Home, the part where the vocals started Vince just stood there while the crowd started on que and started singing it. You could understand the crowd perfectly. Then Vince laughed and said: "oh you know this one" and started singing it from the beginning.

/ I guess to appreciate the Crue you had to be there to experience it
// The 1980's that is

Besides The Dirt, the Heroin Diaries is a good read too. And Nikki's new band, SIXX AM that did the "soundtrack" to the book is pretty dang good too.

You may have been reading more into strangeguitar's post than what he actually was saying. Read it again and you'll see that he never quoted you as saying better.
