I suppose it's about ten days too early for her to give up, and granted she has to try something, but she just sounds more desperate and shrill with every passing day.

can we track her passage through the 5 stages of grief?

she's obviously already gone through denial and anger... i think she's slowly moving out of anger into bargaining...

Why does Hillary remind me of Judge Doom in Who Framed Roger Rabbit where the judge is squealing and shrieking as he gets dissolved in "the dip."

2 yrs ago everyone had their tongue up her ass because her running was so scary to Republicans. Now most of them hate her & the Republicans want her to win the nod so they can pull an easy win. Who'da thunk it?

Well, that's at least honest. With her "big rallies and speeches" comment from yesterday (?), she's already told all the kids to get the hell off her lawn.

I don't usually LOL on comments, but that one got me.

It's a tough choice, I want it to be appropriate to the occasion. Somehow "Grande Dame" just doesn't seem right, what was it the Munchkins drank when the witch was smooshed?

The Republitards will make a serious run at her Senate seat in 2012, and they just might get it... depends on how much of the stink from this campaign still clings to her by then.

It's interesting that Hillary has pulled this nonsense on the weekend - no primetime shows to cover the nonsense, no coverage in the papers. Does she want people to notice this stuff or not?

Don't Tase Me Bro: will make a serious run at her Senate seat in 2012, and they just might get it... depends on how much of the stink from this campaign still clings to her by then.

Depending on how this primary campaign ends, she may face a serious challenger from the Dems for her seat.

I can laugh at how horrible this is, but I really do worry at how she is tearing apart the normal base for Democrats...and this coming from someone who's independent and formerly worked for the GOP. She's poisoning people against Obama, which will only hurt him in the general election, and I've heard [older women] say that they will vote for McCain before Obama.

Is this all bad? I do wonder if it's best for the stars to realign, shake the ageist and latently racist people away. I get the feeling that these people (at least among Democrats) are her real base right now.

I know I shouldn't go off of hillaris44.org comments, but I haven't seen a real Hillary supporter on Fark or in real life for weeks.

You have to realize though that there are even more moderates that would refuse to vote for Hillary before McCain if she somehow magically got that nom (and I'm one of them). There are dems and reps and moderates voting for Obama... and only dems voting for Hillary. There are many dems that are voting for Hillary because she is familiar and not on policy... and come November they will vote dem because well... it is what is familiar...

/Most not all... but Obama still has the lead on McCain at the moment...

So much for going out gracefully.

I hope she loses by double digits in Texas and Ohio.

Her "reconciliation" speech endorsing Obama will be hilarious.

I was going to say the same thing. She'll need these "disillusioned" voters. If she does get the nomination, McCain would be smart to use that against her (as if he needed to).

Did anyone else find it odd when the crowd applauded the line, "You are not going to make the special interest groups disappear!"? It's as though they were saying, "Yay! Special interest groups are here to stay!"

I realize that's not what they meant, but whoever thought that it was a good idea for an applause line needs to make his/her way to the nearest suicide booth.

OK, that's never leaving my head now. Thanks.

More seriously, Hillary must sit up nights wondering how someone came along with near-identical policy positions, plus a style of play that completely marginalizes her strengths in arguing them. I'm sure she has tidy three-ring binders full of plans for every other contingency.

It's like that one episode where the bus broke down and they couldn't figure out how the family could get to the gigs. And dammit, they were such a good band!
