What in the world is a milk bar? *googles* Mmmmhmmm. I really have to wonder where that term came from. Then again, there's probably a lot of weird terms for common things I never think about because I'm used to them.

Considering how many "cop vs. dumbass with a sword" threads they've been having lately, does this mean Raid will soon be standard police issue?

Reminds me of the scene in Chuck Palahniuk's book Haunted where Agent Tattletale tried to kill the detective by locking him in a shiatter and tossing 4 bug bombs down the vent pipe...

It was a "balaclava" long before Americans decided they couldn't pronounce the word.

The man pulled a balaclava over his head as he entered the shop in Somerville Road, Kingsville, shortly before 8pm, police said.

I love balaclava, especially with whipped cream. I must say I've never thought of pulling it over my head.

I was told that in the US a milk bar is a strip club with no liquor license; so 18yos could go.

Isn't a balaclava some kind of pastry? Sounds appropriate for a milk bar.

Strippers without alcohol?!!! Gads, how would we possibly be able to convince ourselves that the girls were truly interested in us, and not the two dollar bills we're handing out like it's Halloween Night?!

I got rid of a pesky roommate once with Dcon Roach Ender. Three little sprays around our refrigerator, and eight hours later hundreds of roaches were dead across the entire kitchen (this was at a Florida college). She accused me of fumigating without consulting her and moved out in a huff. Good times, good insecticide.

Don't argue with him, he might intentionally forget to put Flavor-Sauce on your Pocket Sandwich next time he's serving you.

Before the advent of McDonalds milk bars were a popular social hang-out. Admittedly mostly in the UK and Australia, not so much the US.

I have fond memories of fish and chips with a milkshake while playing pinball machines. I tied an onion to my belt, which was the style at the time.

Eh. It makes some sense, if it's got decent range. Anything that can kill a creature that can live for weeks with it's head cut off, is immune to radiation and just about everything else is bound to not be good when inhaled by a human/gotten in the eyes.

I've often wondered if foggers would make poor, but quasi-effective, tear gas.

Raid came in handy when I had an extremely large roach in my apartment one summer. What the can boasts is true--it kills on contact (thank goodness).

That was my guess when I read the article... Over here (Portland, OR) they are called juice bars.

It says on the can its a nerve agent, so that guy may possibly have gone off somewhere to die a slow painful death not unlike a huge spider that set up shop on my front door last year.

I'm not shedding tears for this guy however
