Why would you punch your girlfriend in the face while she's driving a car that you are desperately trying to hang on to? More importantly, why would you hit a girl at all unless you were a stupid little dicked bastard, and that caused the fight in the first place?

Maybe because he just used his fist and she used the car as a weapon? It sucks no matter how you parse it, though.

I hope she gets an attorney who will be able to get everything put into perspective before it gets to court, so by the time it does, the court hears what really happened.

Violence has bullies and victims, abusers and abusees, and those roles are what defines right and wrong, not genitalia. How else do you explain domestic violence rates in lesbian relationships being on par with domestic violence in two-gay-male relationships?
