/what kind of role-model is he for his girl, Takisha-Shaniqua,or his son, DamonDanteJeffersonTerrell?

Tasering citizens? An occasional bout of spousal abuse? Arrogant disregard for public safety? All worth little more than a paid vacation. Ripping off a tax-paying business the cost of a meal? That's what it takes to get a cop fired.

...sigh.

To hell with BW's.

Actually no, he got fired for lying about it during an internal investigation. Just the theft probably would have only earned him a weeks paid suspension vacation.

I hate restaurants. They're expensive.

I thought cops ate for free? They get free coffee at least.

When I worked as a cashier at the Taco Bell drive-thru, I tried to collect the payment from a policeman (he ordered 3 or 4 food items). My boss told me he didn't have to pay.

Was it because he used two dollar bills?

I had the same experiences with some of the coffee shops I worked at. It evened out though because they would always tip the amount they would have had to pay otherwise.

I thought they extorted comps from ALL merchants on their beat...(?)

kellynoel [TotalFark] 2008-02-23 07:08:36 PM
One of my closest and oldest friends is a cop. He is the most genuinely kind person I've ever met - truly has a heart of gold. Just for the sake od example, consider that in his squad car he keeps bags of dog and cat food so that he can feed any stray or neglected animals he encounters on duty.

So, if the exception proves the rule, then all cops really are cocks.

ianjames 2008-02-23 07:08:49 PM
I bet BWW will remember to give cops food the "extra special attention" from now on!

jobskee 2008-02-23 07:10:06 PM
Many places like to feed cops for free. Mainly it's because the owners support them or appreciate their being around for the security of it.

The cops that treat it like an entitlement just make it hard on everybody else, especially the merchants.

One Taco Bell in my town offered free to the campus police. One of the shift supervisors took advantage, ordering dozens of free meals every shift, and loading up his car to take free food home. The result: no more freebs from Taco Bell, and a snarky response from the offender.

There was a man once who thought there was "no farking difference." He became very infamous in the early/mid '40's and had a very distinct mustache. He built a lot of "camps" but he was no boy scout. Hmmmm? Hmmmm?

I worked for a drug-dealing pizza shop owner.

I delivered a pizza to a police officer and it was socially awkward because I thought he was supposed to pay for it.

/later on I delivered a second officer 2 M14 rifles that he bought from my boss for a hundred bucks each.

//what bribe? He paid cash for them.

It was better when it was called BW3(Buffalo Wild Wings and Weck).

Weck being the kind of bun they put their burgers on. I miss the black and bleu burger with a dash of blazin sauce. Now the buns suck.

Generally, cops aren't supposed to accept free meals; generally, places that comp them freebies only do so for certain officers; then when everyone starts taking advantage, the whole deal gets shut down.

Walking out on a tab is pretty uncool, but getting fired for it seems harsh. Even if it was lying about it afterwards. Still, $75 worth of wings is an amazing tab to run up.

No it was because he used Grade F "not fit for human consumption" meat and needed to cover it up.

This is a serious question, although I'm pretty sure it won't be interpreted that way.

I've always assumed that cops never paid for meals, coffee, beer, etc. I sort of figured they paid for big-ticket items like mortgages and personal vehicles. Is this incorrect?

If you're really serious, that's a pretty stupid question. What do you think, a cop can just flash his badge anywhere and get free stuff?

In particular with meals, places like Denny's, IHOP, Outback Steakhouse, Olive Garden, etc., etc., are all corporations with board members and share holders who would not look favorably on giving away free food to anyone.

I figured businesses just knew not to charge them.

The local McDonald's all have booths reserved for the police, with corporate signs and everything, so I don't think I'm that out of line.
