I sincerely wish I knew how to follow that appropriately, so I'll just say well done.

There is no such thing as bad publicity.

(But im sure there are plenty of examples of when it is)

the times pretty much had their hands tied. they knew the sex part of the story was pretty thin, but the bigger story was the lobbiest angle so they added the woman to give weight to the money part of the story.

Pretty much this, although the Washington Post did a much better job of covering the lobbying angle.

Why don't people start submitting articles on the whole McCain thing by a credible paper instead of articles by the tabloid started it?

You forget - donating to political campaigns is a lot like paying taxes. They HATE that shiat.

McCain? Getting donations? Where's the unlikely tag? His campaign has been in the red for the better part of the last 3 quarters.

I like how they declined numbers. Probably because they're way smaller than what Obama's been raising on a daily basis since January.

McCain Sex Scandal = neocons give more money to McCain

.... And the decline to give numbers. That's a good sign.

I wonder if they'll manage to get a majority of Republicans really motivated this year. At this point, I'm kind of doubting it. I mean, even the vitriol from the NYT story was oddly muted...

When someone uses the word "neocon" when referring to conservatives, they prove that they are just lemmings with limited mental abilities.

Obama, Clinton, Huckabee and Paul all have better medium days than this McCain "best day".
