Jesus. That's $86M in two months, more than the entire Federal matching funds allows. He better not take it.

What's absolutely amazing about his fundraising is that the overwhelming majority is made of small amounts- 20 dollars here, 150 there.

I have to admit, I helped out. While I disagree with some of his policies, he's no socialist maniac like Hillary.

Seriously. His goal is 1,000,000 total donors by March 4. He's at 959,000. Damn.

See what happens when you don't spend your campaign money on blimps, trained airborne orangatuans and weird pictures of your candidate zapping the Constitution back to life?

So what you are saying is that he's got more charisma and "snake oil" charm than a 700 Club televangelist.

Won't someone think of the poor pollsters?

I derive some income from federal contracts, so as I understand it, Barack won't take my filthy money. Curse his ethical stance!

I did lobby my state's uncommitted and pro-Hillary superdelegates, though. Fear my carefully-worded letters.

I_C_Weener: So what you are saying is that he's got more charisma and "snake oil" charm than a 700 Club televangelist.

So, in your world, it would be a better sign if everyone hated a candidate and didn't want to give him or her any money? Why is a broad base of individual donors a bad sign? Does this mean you're hoping for an unholy Gravel/Tancredo ticket?

Apparently some people think there isn't enough room in his tiny head for charisma AND ideas. Like all humans are on some kind of points system and he used all his on his oratory skills.

In the past, I would've always considered giving money to a politician to be a foolish waste of money. This time feels different somehow. I chipped in $50 to Obama.

As soon as I figure out a way to donate cash, I will.

(saw a google maps-like searchable campaign contribution database a while back, found a bunch of people from my town. Got seriously weirded out, seeing that.)

(they were split roughly 50/50 in case you were wondering.)

Bill Frist 2008-02-22 03:42:56 PM
You can add me in at 15 or so.

I didn't donate much, but it was my first political donation ever.

These are honestly the same people who don't believe smart and attractive girls or ugly and athletic people exist.

Say, if you're a Canadian living in Ontario, how'd you manage to donate to a US Presidential campaign?

Isn't that a shade on the illegal side?
