Charlotte Church seems to be really whack-a-doo, but that's what I like about her. God knows, it's not her music.

No, it isn't. Cocaine's a helluva drug. When she's relatively sober she sounds pretty damn good. Check out her album Back to Black. It is awesome, especially if you like that retro 50s/60s girl group kinda vibe like I do. I was all prepared to write her off as another talentless pop star trainwreck but then I downloaded that and was really impressed.

I've Youtube'd some of her perfomances when bored once. Some look to be her pre-cracked out self. Not bad, but just sounded like an uninspired cover of what was recorded.

Then again, I have a bias against a lot of pop performers since their live shows are based more on visual appeal (though not Amy per se) but sonically are usually just bad imitations of what's on the CD.

American Idol = horrible, talentless people looking for a way to change their miserable lives. And not just the people singing on the show either. That includes judges and most viewers, in my opinion.

If you took 25 pounds and 3 teeth from Charlotte and applied them to Amy, then maybe "Beat It" would apply.

The guitarist did a pretty good version of Eddie Van Halen's guitar solo.

I pretty much despise Amy Winehouse. Her voice sounds like when I accidentally step on my cat's tail, she looks like a battered hooker and I'm tired of hearing about her drug problems.
