I know, I know, Savalas begins with an S but believe you me, someone will someday be looking for a good example of ED, one shot through a broken Budweiser long neck lager bottle, one that simultaneously repels at the very cellular level and yet fascinates without redemption of any kind whatsoever, one thick with the fugg of old nightclub lungs and the waft of herbal venereal medicines and Charlie.

Dude, I have the Telly Savalas solo record Telly. On the back there are liner notes explaining that Telly can't really sing, but that's OK because he's so cool. And besides, Telly himself writes, "I was asked to make a record."

Among the tracks are "Help Me Make It Through the Night", "Rubber Bands and Bits of String" and George Harrison's "Something" -- all rendered tuneless and horrifying by the bland orchestral arrangement and Telly's meandering, off-key mumble. Truly awesome.
