(TBO) Florida Tampa Bay newspaper published article about Scientology protests on Feb. 10, then systematically removes almost every public comment about the story. All hail (this word removed by site staff)   (www2.tbo.com) divider line 263

Ha, this is the sort of thing I would have submitted.

(not subby).

Interestingly "chewyandbert" and "terryeo" who still have comments remaining, are well-known logins for Scientologists who post a lot on several sites online.

What a shocker!

If you've ever been to /b/ you may have an idea of why the majority of these comments were removed. It's an odd situation where one part of Anonymous organizes a valid, cause worthy protest and the other part of Anonymous destroys it. After watching an Anonymous video you may agree with several points but, upon visiting a message board full of gore and animal porn, you're shocked out of focus.

Saborlas [TotalFark] 2008-02-19 04:26:11 PM
Anonymous is legion. Therefore, Anonymous has legion viewpoints. It's a very unique entity, and this level of cohesion with zero leadership is actually quite remarkable.

If only the nastier members of Anonymous could join in this for the sake of proving the power of Anonymous, instead of dragging the whole thing down because they'll be damned if the power of Anonymous is used for good.

And yeah, stay the hell away from /b/. You won't like it (for more reasons than you can count) and the locals don't like n00bz blundering in and biatching about everything.

Maybe I found the wrong /b/ but I found it uneventful and hard to navigate. Is it against TOS to link to? Is anyone willing to take the risk?

There's still quite a few inflammatory comments on there.

"Scientologists took photos of protesters so they could better protect themselves, but they refused to go out and speak negatively to Anonymous members, Scientology spokeswoman Pat Harney said. Instead, she said, Scientologists spent their day practicing their religion."

-It sounds like the 'Church' wrote the article itself!

Which is precisely why no one should take /b/-tards seriously. The one time I visited there were repetitive postings of scatpr0n while that damned song "Chocolate Rain" was playing continuously in the background. It was then that I knew that space was a waste of human life and time.

Amen RobKay, whatever happened to our USA freedoms? Armageddon people, get your house in order and wise up. GOD will win.
This is totally outrageous on all sides. Get on your knees and wait and see. Rapture is coming and we will finally be free. NO, I am not on drugs, just a believer in the GREAT I AM.

Minus the vulgarity and angsty teens trying to fit in, /b/ is populated by people not so different from Farkers.

If you're threatened by something, and you get rid of that something, you are no longer threatened.

It's an imageboard, largely freqeuented by bored college students. Primary content is porn, lolcats, demotivational posters, dismembered corpses of various species, feces, suicide threats, racist diatribes and cartoons, manga, and semi-organized 'raids' against various targets, such as Scientology, kids' online communities, camwhores, and video game shops.
