How do you live for 60 something years if you die on the day you're born.

/I know
//actual headline is worded poorly

sarcastrophe 2008-02-17 01:04:17 AM
Irony?

Av8rLuvr [TotalFark] 2008-02-17 01:07:19 AM
If there's anything good about this it's that they didn't have to live a single day without one another.

It's not ironic! It's just coincidental!

Good thing my ex-wife and I were born on different days. If I outlive her, I win!

That's very romantic, and the kind of thing I wish for myself.

Webster's Dictionary defines wedding as the fusing of two metals with a hot torch. Well you know something? I think you guys are two metals. Gold metals

Truly ironic: after suffering countless corrections and reiterations of the word's meaning, the Fark submitter continues to defy all expectations of human/ape/sea cucumber intelligence.

Wow, this is the worst use of the irony tag I've ever seen. This isn't even close to the usual fake irony. I thought the mods could fix this kind of idiocy.

overlord 2008-02-17 03:31:14 AM
Ironically, they were married on the same day too.

You two must have read my mind.

Were they from Alabama, and liked to smoke while buying propane for their trailer?

Think about it.

Irony, adj:

Very sad and sweet all at the same time.

Though most of my faith in anything has been beaten out of me by real life, I still like to think that there is a heaven, and I like the idea that they were only apart for a little while before they met up again.

/Have to believe my Mom & Dad are together again somehow.

Isn't it ironic that Lou Gehrig should die of Lou Gehrig's disease?

//not really

//silly, isn't it?

Primum 2008-02-17 04:10:58 AM
66 years old and the reporter calls them ELDERLY? What. The. Fark? My dad is 64 and he is NOT farking elderly. My dad could kick the everloving shiat out of that Rocky Mountain News reporter. Elderly is 87, not 66.

Zombie Eater 2008-02-17 04:11:39 AM
I had a short-lived long-distance relationship (well, the 7th grade equiv.) with a girl who was 3 hours younger than me. It was a little scary, as we both had the same eye and hair color and she was the only one in her family (parents included) who wasn't developmentally impaired. I was really close to asking my mom if I had a twin sister that she might have had to give up.

Keyes 2008-02-17 04:12:39 AM
were they also married on the same day?

/joke joke

It's ironic but far from funny.

Unless you totally expected them to die on the same day after being born on the same day...well, no.

Not nearly.
