TheConvincingSavant: Hillary can't get March here fast enough.

She needs to take ALL of texas and pennsylvannia just to get close to breaking even with Obama.

At this point in the game, Hillary is playing catch up.

Anyone who likes Hillary Clinton is a dumb, ignorant fool who needs to eat a bag of walrus dicks.

Corvus 2008-02-15 07:49:42 PM
Earlier, we listed this one putting Hillary Clinton up on Barack Obama, 49 percent to 41 percent, in Texas.

Even if Hillary gets like 50% to 40% it's not going to be good enough.

Besides like the article earlier said Obama will do well in the highly populated districts. So she is not going to get many delegates out of Texas.

Shrugging Atlas 2008-02-15 07:51:05 PM
I'll tell you what. If the best she can do is be up by single or low double digits before Obama even steps foot in the state, she's farked in Texas.

quatchi 2008-02-15 07:52:32 PM
Clinton had a two digit lead on Obama in Texas as of Jan 31st according to Rassmussen who still has Hill ahead albeit by single digits.

ClintCo the more you learn the more you loathe, apparently.

Apparently, after appearing in El Paso the other night she fired that little Mexican American boy in the Somberero fer not being cute enuff.

Also his cheque from the campaign bounced.

Her latino vote is headed straight down the Latrino!

boozerman 2008-02-15 08:05:46 PM
The strange thing is that Obama only has to get 38% in each district for it to be a tie. They do things weird in Texas. Anyhow, I think he'll close the gap/surpass soon.

Shrugging Atlas: I'll tell you what. If the best she can do is be up by single or low double digits before Obama even steps foot in the state, she's farked in Texas.

And she's only up by single digits among Democrats. Among Republicans and independents, she is widely hated and trails Obama by about a 3-to-1 margin. In Texas, voters get to declare on election day which party's primary they want to vote in--hell, Dubya himself could show up to his polling place in Crawford on election day and choose to vote in the Democratic primary rather than the Republican primary if he wanted to. With McCain having the nomination all but wrapped up, you can bet a lot of Republicans (and independents) are going to decide to vote in the Dem primary where their vote might actually count for something. And they sure as hell aren't going to be voting for Hillary.

If these numbers are even remotely accurate, she's dead.

They could go HIllary as the 'easy to beat' candidate.

Cyberluddite [TotalFark] 2008-02-15 08:20:31 PM
Deneb81: They could go HIllary as the 'easy to beat' candidate.

Theoretically, that's true. But most of the Republicans I've talked to are hoping Obama wins the nomination even though they think (correctly) that Hillary would be the easier candidate for the Republicans to beat. They realize that McCain isn't a particularly strong of a candidate and that, while they think he would probably beat Hillary, it isn't a slam dunk and Hillary might possibly be able to beat him. And they don't want to take that chance. They would prefer the greater chance of a Republican losing to a Democrat who isn't Hillary than the lesser--but scarier to them--chance of a Hillary getting the opportunity to be elected as president.

The Numbers 2008-02-15 09:38:58 PM
The poll for Obama acknowledges that Hillary has a 47/42 lead in democratic voters, but he ends up ahead when you factor in independents and republican swing voters. The poll that puts Hillary ahead only samples members of the democratic party.

It already doesn't look too good for Hillary.

I love how when in the 90s when the Clintons were lying, thieving, murdering sacs-o-shiat that were willing to burn/sell any and everything for personal glory the left didn't mind too much.

Lest you forget the reason why China and North Korea have the nuclear technologies that they do.

Now that it is being done to a fellow Democrat, they are horrible.

Unless you were all duped. That would mean that the average TFer is about a decade and a half behind the learning curve of the average "moth-breathing moran".

/I tend to believe the truth is a little bit of both. The average TFer is a hateful shill for the left and half retarded at the same time.

//In closing, fark you.

These are god-fearing people and Hilary is their anti-Christ. They might actually think their arm (and other appendages) will fall off if they "pull the lever" for her. Then again it's Texas and the other Dem option is "high yellar."

I think it has something to do with him saying he was in the Marines, yet calling himself a soldier in the "core" not a Marine in the Corp, and then blaming his wife for hijacking his account to post.

//just what I have seen said in threads

I think you mean if McCain wins the general election don't you skipper?

Anyway, it's not just 20-somethings that hate Hillary, my friend. Oh, no. I think it might be the one thing that has the potential to unite people.

Everyone except asians, if what I read on Fark is to be believed. Puzzling, that.
