Since 1990, he has continually performed, shown paintings or displayed other works in many small art galleries or venues in California and beyond.

As a musician, Terbo has DJ'd on four continents, released six CDs of original electronic music and been singer, guitarist and songwriter for a number of unsigned rock and roll bands.

Good resume for a potential political representative.

The only career that would really make sense would be a lawyer- and we've got too many of them as it is.

Looking at his positions, he actually sounds pretty decent. I'd even go so far as to say he's better than Paul- in place of the appeal-to-social-conservatives pandering that's marred Paul's past, this guy says things like this-

Religion in America
I strongly support religious freedom in our country, and anyone who seeks to honor God through their faith should not fear persecution in the United States, regardless of their sect or practices. One of my favorite words regarding religion is nondenominational. I have no specific religious affiliation, and I honor all people in their efforts to bring honor to God as they freely choose.
....
I support the fourteenth amendment to the United States Constitution, which- for nearly one hundred and forty years- has guaranteed birth right citizenship, life, liberty and due process of law to any person in our jurisdiction

I'd gladly vote for him, funny name or no.

I've collected weird kid names at my lab for a long time. My all time winner thus far is Qwesi Terbolizard.

Never heard anyone else with that last name til now. Wonder if they're related?

Looking at his bio he apparently wasn't born with the name. He was initially "Theodore Johnathon Hommel" but changed it as part of his artist/musician/advertising agent career. Which I could understand if he was smart enough to change it back afterwards.

Still sounds like he'd make a great Congressman, to the degree that such a thing can exist.

He's also under investigation for possible DUI. Interestingly, the story is posted on the front page of his website, and he notes that he plans to use the arrest for publicity.

Ted Kennedy would be rolling over in his grave had he not sold his soul to the devil in 1966 for a case of Schlitz Malt Liquor. I could live with white-collar crime or perhaps even some gay secks on the downlow... but DUI is a bad thing, friends.

/still has a fantastic name.

i'm a little incredulous of someone who changes their name to terbolizard. it's incredibly obvious what he was going for, but he either misspelled it, or someone already took that name. maybe he should have gone with turbolizard1 or xXturbolizardXx.

Oh,and he should pick a sidekick. I vote for The Supply Side Kid, a 13-year-old who has developed enormous muscles from working 12 hours a day in a coal mine.

Personally, I want a physicist to run for Congress. He'll spend a couple of years coming up with a Grand Unified Legal Theory, and print the whole thing on an 8.5x11" piece of paper.

And when he wants to test it, he'll fire counter-rotating beams of lawyers at each other, and see what precedents pop out of the collisions.

Awesome, on the news report about his DUI, they start out by saying "Our reporter meet Terbolizard at a local bar". Also full of great lines like "the 39 year old terbolizard" "terbolizard".

Right next to making your name very similar to your opponent's, e.g. Jon McCain, having a name that will get you a ton of recognition and stick out on a ballot is actually pretty clever. I'm surprised we don't hear about this kind of thing more often.

I'm becoming a lawyer-physicist, so I can "scatter" myself.
And I've seriously though about laying out my governmental POV in the manner of maxims, proofs and postulates, in the manner of geometry - what is needed, what works, why we would need to do anything would be specifically determined.

If we're gonna defeat those Calibnancies in November, I want a Hyporgator, not a Terbolizard. Of course, all the tardspawn on Fark are too busy precious little snowflaking away their lives to realize the TRUTH.

It happened in Ohio quite a bit back in the 70s and 80s. We had Celebrezze and Calabreese. We had two completely unrelated Taft families, also. And don't get me started on the Browns.

From his livejournal:

I refused to sign the 'Code of Fair Campaign Practices,' which is voluntary compliance. As it is, we already have highly regulated elections, which cost- even without staff or ad campaigns- significant amounts of dollars just in filing fees; all of this means: we do not have free elections in the United States. There is no way I will voluntarily agree to limit my campaign options, when 1. I can be a ferocious competitor and 2. I'm running a race against known 'cut throat' politicians. All of this being said, if I need to use some nefarious behind-the-scenes tricks against any number of my opponents, well, be warned, I am publicly refusing to play fair. And, apologies to former first lady Nancy Reagan- if you follow astrology at all- my Mars is in Aries, which means my planet of war is in the most stubborn and aggressive sign. Use caution.

I love HoR races.

You know, one of the things that made the founding fathers so great was that they were all 'renaissance men'. They were artists, writers, scientists, politicians, teachers, soldiers.

I'll trust someone like that over a career politician with a Law Degree from an Ivy League school any day of the week.
