I remember the first time MTV played Thriller, it was really long, and the only memory I had of the "before song started" was someone got his head run over by a bus tire ... I only saw it that one time, scared the crap out of me, and everytime I think of that song, the head being run over is my first memory, then I think of zombies dancing.
/did anyone else ever see that?
//have seen the 14 minute version many many times, and never see that part

I count only 11 of those facts as being about the "Thriller video." The rest of them are about the Thriller album or its component songs.

Of the 9 tracks on thriller, seven were released as singles, of those seven , there was no video made for four of them, P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing), The Girl Is Mine, Wanna Be Startin Something and Human Nature. Oh and of the seven singles, none did worse than #10 on the US top 40 pop singles chart.

That's the worst looking Michael Jackson impersonator I've ever seen.

Wait, what?

I only knew the Brooke Shields one.
then he brought Webster to the next one. or maybe a monkey.

however, "Ola Ray" is GISstastic.

#30 Avril Lavigne is the queen of punk.

This is my favorite one.

She has been quoted recently as saying (I promise this is true):

"I'm covering Joan Jett's "Bad Reputation" and while I'm singing there will be a video montage of me smoking cigarettes and flipping the bird"

Wow. She is so punk rawk it hurts.

She's also, for the first time, going to have backup dancers accompany her on stage (remember when the Ramones did that? No?) and she said "there will be kicks and punches!"

Again, her punk rawkness ... it hurts me.

Darn, she is more hardcore than Ashlee Simpson. Maybe Ashlee can loan Avril those cool anarchy symbols Ashlee uses on her set.

/"Off The Wall" was his best work

Let me just say that I am not your typical Michael Jackson fan (more into indie music) but I was pretty impressionable when this album came out (11 years old).

So I am completely serious when I say that the song Human Nature written in part by Toto's Steve Porcaro is just an incredible song and could have been a hit for almost anyone.

"Thriller," the biggest-selling album ever,

Maybe for the world as a whole.

According to the RIAA, The Eagles Greatest Hits 1971-1975 is the all time biggest seller in America with 29 million sold to Thriller's 27 million.

The Thriller video came out when I was 3. I have been afraid of this man ever since. When he turns with those yellow eyes...

Just gotta ask, who was the queen who volunteered to play the girlfriend? S/he gets so into the role...

I spent Xmas season 1977 selling pens in Macy*s across from the electronics department where the only two records played ever were a disco Xmas album and the Eagles Greatest Hits. Needles to say, I grew to hate the Eagles.

56,000,000 reasons to poke out eardrums with a knitting needle.
