Your neighbours are really starting to believe in all that "USA .. land of the free ... hope and opportunity ... etc, etc" again.

Please do not f--k this up for the rest of the world.

Ah, but there's those superdelegates you have to worry about. And who knows what kind of madness lies in the minds of elected politicians.

There is no hope.

Even if we all vote for Obama the badguys will win.

The badguys always win.

Even when the badguys are women.

When things go like this with someone in politics, the hair on the back of my neck stands up. The words "careful what you wish for" ring loud and clear in my head.

Yes, CNN covered it. It's one sentence in the bottom left. Clinton News Network indeed.

It's not him in particular, it's more about how a single person can sway millions. It's a general 10000 foot level thing.

Tuesday looks good for him too. I hope this is enough because OH/TX might go badly and there are a lot of delegates at stake there. I donated to his campaign this evening and am looking forward to voting in the Ohio primary.

GObama!

He does awfully well with small electorates. He's winning caucuses (low turnout) and states with very few Democrats (Utah, Idaho, Kansas).

I don't see any evidence yet that he has a shot in November. Which is probably good since you don't want to give the keys to someone who isn't ready for prime time.

/ain't a Repub either
//never even voted for one for POTUS or Congress

Nah, but she might use "Super Delegates" to rob democrats of a fair primary.

DulceEtDecorumEst: please, please, please, does anyone have a link to a video clip of the simpsons "tiger rock" video???? I have a friend who is a *gasp* bush supporter, and is against obama because she thinks only a bush-like republican can keep his post 9-11 streak of no major terrorist attacks on us soil alive, and she needs a serious smackdown in the worst way. Thanks!

You could mail her some anthrax. I mean, it's not like she'd notice.

Ah, but there's those superdelegates you have to worry about. And who knows what kind of madness lies in the minds of elected politicians.

If it's close enough when the convention finally rolls around, there will be some serious behind the scenes shenanigans in an attempt to pressure Obama superdelagates to switch to Clinton. I wouldn't be surprised if he goes in leading with committed delegates but she gets the nomination.

I think that's an oxymoron. What you mean is "Obama's up by two, including superdelegates who have voiced support for or endorsed a candidate." Superdelegates can say they love Obama, step in the booth, and vote for Franklin D. Roosevelt.

Hillary isn't looking hot right now...4 straight losses, a weak Super Tuesday, and it's not looking good in DC and Maryland for her either. She might pull it off in Virginia, but it's nothing but bad press for her until Texas. She even fired her campaign manager yesterday. She better have something up her sleeve, because she's fading fast...

robsul82: It's harder to create a meme than you think. FAIL.

With about 60 mentions of Obama on the politics page, you'll create it yourself. If you learned nothing from the failed Ron Paul campaign, learn that fanatical support for a candidate leads to bad consequences.

This is interesting, but: Even with the 60%+ vote for Obama all weekend long, he hasn't made up half the number of pledged delegates from Hillary's margin of victory just in California. So it's not like this changes everything.

That said...

I don't know why, strategically, the Clinton campaign would have just laid out for a week, but I have to say if they had taken the last week off, the results would look a lot like this.

Really? You think Paul's supporter did him in? It wasn't, you know, the lack of them?

I love how this is playing out like the last season of West Wing.

Unknown, young, brash, popular, MINORITY youngster (Jimmy Smits) wins the Dem nomination against all odds.

Goes on to further spike all odds by kicking the heiny of the old, gnarly, swinish Repub (Alan Alda) to become president.

When I watched that I loved it, but thought it was pure fantasy.

A minority actually making it to the point of running in a Presidential election?

Well looky here!

This is a stupid thing to say. You could jusrt as easily say that Hillary's win in CA wasn't enough to make up Obama's win in IL.
