Did she jump?

Or was she pushed?

If Hillary Clinton goes away I might start liking politics again.

Who cares? I am sure this lady's fat ass was just slowing down the USS Hillary on it's way to the democratic nomination!

Lets hope this hurts her with the Latina community.

One F Jef 2008-02-10 04:56:47 PM
She was pushed. She has been a lifelong friend of the Clintons, specifically Hillary, and there is no way she would abandon them for political reasons.

New advice to next campaign manager will likely be similar to "DON'T DO WHAT SHE DID."

Damn!

imusingtehfark 2008-02-10 04:57:21 PM
According to some sites I've seen they asked for her resignation.

So they basically soft-fired her is what some sites are saying, dunno if it's true. And she was very well-respected in the Tx latino community, so it might not play well over here, but dunno....

FTA: But Williams' influence has already been felt, I'm told, in the more ornate language in Clinton's speeches, and her presence adds a new dimension to the politics of Hillaryland.

So she's the brilliant one that's telling Hillary to copy everything Obama says/does.

Harry Pooter 2008-02-10 04:58:36 PM
She [Hillary's former campaign manager] was on her way out ever since the Clinton campaign's stunning loss in Iowa, which Hillary found inexcusable. If you ask me, this is more evidence that her campaign is in much more trouble than she is letting on.

Check out the Maine map that Hilldog was supposed to take most of the delegates easily.

So she loses Iowa and waits a month to make the fire?

Wonder what difference this will make on the campaign. It noted more ornate language in Hillary's speeches, but words are just words unless you can give the words the passion and true conviction they deserve.

I'd hit it

Is this the woman who has been telling Hillary to speak with that flat inflection and just change the volume when it gets to a soundbyte?

quatchi 2008-02-10 05:03:30 PM
So the anchor baby jumps ship after Hillary takes California largely by pulling in the Hispanic vote but before the Hildabeast goes ahunting fer votes in Maine?

There's a Mexican jumping bean joke in there somewhere but I aint going there.

Not cos Quatchi eschews such low brow hunour but because in point of fact she prolly didn't jump without a li'l help.

More than likely she was pushed off the bandwagon by an increasingly desparate Hillarity.

DamnYankees: Lets hope this hurts her with the Latina community.

I challenge ANYONE who still supports Hillary Clinton to outline their position as to WHY they support her. I want to know what policy differences have them supporting her. What character differences, what experiential differences, etc. Given that her platform and Obama's platform are very similar (with the exception that Obama has vowed to restore the constitution, while Clinton has refused to commit to that), I want to know WHAT EXACTLY they see in her. This goes out to everyone who has her back.

Personally I REFUSE to support someone who:

- attacked Obama for links to lobbyists while taking more lobbyist donations than ANY candidate...Republican OR Democrat.
- refuses to restore the constitution to it's pre-Bush condition
- says they will not have a dialogue with leaders of rogue nations
- keeps the option of torture on the table
- keeps the option of so-called "tactical" nukes on the table in the fight against terrorism
- uses dirty political tricks such as push-polls to attempt to influence voters
- blatantly copies her closest opponent's driving message the second he wins a state's primary
- "loans" $5 million to her campaign from her own personal money, which cannot be tracked so that voters know where the money came from (could be more lobbyist cash)
- refuses to release tax return data to open up some transparency as to where the cash came from, further indicating that it is dirty money.
- campaigns in a state she had sworn she wouldn't campaign in
- keeps her name on the ballot in a state where all the other party candidates removed their names due to party violations.
- then fights for the delegates to be counted AFTER she has won both states, KNOWING that it wasn't a fair primary vote in EITHER of them

So...Clinton supporters...please tell me why in the light of all this, you can CONTINUE to support this woman. It's got nothing to do with her gender, and everything to do with sending a message to the politicians that we're SICK of this BS, and we're not putting up with it anymore. We've gotten enough of it from Bush over the past 7 years, we don't need it from a Democrat too.

MrWilson-GOML 2008-02-10 05:04:16 PM
In a national election Obama would do far better against John McCain than Clinton would. The conservatives aren't excited about voting for McCain but if Hillary win's the nomination (through the super delagate vote) conservatives will show up in droves for the chance to vote against her.

Also, if Hillary wins the nomintion via back room deals with the super delagates expect black voters to stop voting Democrat for the next century.

I'm still voting for Stephen Colbert.

So Maine caucuses today--- what do the poll numbers look like from there?

She must be confident she's going to win Maine, firing your campaign manager the day you are losing a state and 2 days before another round of primaries would be a disaster.

Wombatzu 2008-02-10 05:07:51 PM
Obama 57%
Clinton 42%

44% reporting in Maine

according to FAUXNews

/and i would hit that particular fired campaign manager

Now my plan is bearing fruit. Soon the dried shriveled loins of Mrs. Clinton will blow away like the dust on an old trailer in a trailer park where a tornado is bearing down. Then Obama will lead this country in a changed direction, but not the correct direction. Civilization will wither in the coming nuclear holocaust. And out of the ashes I will rise with my mutant army and finally will control all the earth!

Judging from the number of buttons on her cuffs, she must be a general or something.
I wonder what that means for the attire of the militaries top brass if Hillary gets elected.
