A quick note;
Don't post pictures of minors in sexual situations, and don't post addresses or other personal info even if easily found.

goeniegoegoe 2008-02-10 09:10:13 AM
To the girls' surprise, and Rizkallah's dismay, the search turned up a virtual tour of their neighborhood, which includes a picture of the girls, in bathing suits, in their backyard swimming pool.

Now googling.

Apparently the mother is unfamiliar with new-fangled technology like airplanes and aerial photography. Don't even tell her about satellites and what those can see, it'll blow her mind. You're worried about your kids? shiat, the government watches you have sex in your bedroom right through your roof with their infrared satellite sensors.

I have nothing to fear then.

Mother sees photo on google, thinks she must be able to sue somebody and google has a lot of money so call the news and go into the routine.

discovery10 2008-02-10 11:09:34 AM
Intentional viral marketing from the mother. Give it a year or so, she'll be showing up on some reality show.

king_nacho [TotalFark] 2008-02-10 11:11:14 AM
Doesn't sounds like this is Areal Photography if you can see three girls in a pool. Sounds like this is a case of the shots taken on the ground that people have been worried about for a while.

Where they take panoramic shots from various locations in the street to give street level views.

Google said they wouldn't post pictures of people on the street view but it looks like they did here.

rmoose 2008-02-10 11:14:39 AM
I googled my address. Only thing I found is where the previous owners got a mortgage.

Sigh. What can't all women look like that?

You think that's bad? My last name is so rare that if you Google it, my web pages come up right away and no one else's do. Just my last name.

This.

Are they talking about Street View? Too farking bad. If you never want your daughters' images captured, never release them into a public space where there might be cameras.

liberalish 2008-02-10 11:20:56 AM
Yellow pages finds the address right away, Google has already removed a street view scene in that specific area.

/no pedo-google today :(

I take this back. The search requires my first name. Grumble, I'm tired, grumble.

eqtworld This just in: people with cameras are allowed to take photos of things that are outside

yeah, no kidding. Plus, this lady live on a corner, so you can see into her backyard. Google apparently removed the photos containing children, and would have done so even if the mother had just asked, instead of flipping out about it. But really, how does this help? You still live on a corner lady? Wierdos can still drive by and see your snowflakes! Furthermore, by letting the media print your full name, now everybody knows where you live.

So who has really but the kids in danger here, google or the mom?

Lumoclear 2008-02-10 11:27:21 AM
Wow. Just when I thought that the world could not get any more stupider, this happens along.

Oh well, where are the pics? Maybe someone can tell the mother to check out fark -- hopefully she'll blow a gasket and end up in a casket.

jjorsett 2008-02-10 11:27:45 AM
If you're that afraid that pervs will find out that "girls live at this address", what are you doing letting them play in their bathing suits in the yard where everyone can see them? This smacks of somebody making a stink for some other reason.

I've got news for the mom: With a surname like Rizkallah, her family's probably under a lot more surveillance than that.

Doran 2008-02-10 11:31:03 AM
Just checked Google Maps and where she lives according to White Pages. Can't find the offending picture. However, at the corner of her street and another street close to her house, it says "This picture is no longer available." Maybe that's the picture.

Other than that, all I can gather is that she lives in a pretty farking good neighbourhood, right where we would think a prissy biatch like her would live.

slideaway 2008-02-10 11:31:47 AM
You can make out my license plate on street view. Should I report the authorities?

I'm gonna bet hers are not the only girls in the neighborhood. The place is practically a perv candy store.

Maybe we should make girls homeless, they'd be harder to track down,...

Doran 2008-02-10 11:34:17 AM
And never mind, a whole section of the street next to hers, right where you would be able to see her backyard, has been taken down.

She's done the damage herself though. She got her name out herself. She fails at knowing the full damage of the internets.

This has got to be in SOMEONE's cache. Funny thing, though, she is probably the ONLY person that saw the pics!!!

And, really, if a perv wanted to find some perv stuff, I think they'd look somewhere other than google street map eh.

jaied 2008-02-10 11:38:22 AM
Wow. The Google camera van operator must be bored out of his mind near Detroit... They have almost all of the streets mapped out, even the little cul-de-sacs, in a 10 mile diameter. That takes some doin'. I mean... it's Michigan for cryin' out loud.

Another google apologist. Yawn. Why don't you people just admit the obvious which is that you're willing to give google a pass on virtually every law imaginable (copyright, privacy, child protection, monopoly) since you happen to find their service personally useful.

Another Street View induced bout of idiocy. Some lady sees her cat in the window of her house on Street View.

What's the correct thing to do? Obviously it's to make a big fuss over it and get people guessing exactly which house with a cat in the front window is yours.

At that point your name is in the papers and your address is in teh Google.

Garden City has been going down the drain for the past 20 years, much like most of the cities in this area. Everybody who can afford to has been steadily moving west. It might have something to do with Detroit being to the east.
