depends on the state, and sometimes local laws. although I have no idea how it would work moving from a state that acts as you say to one that keeps everything on record to use against you.

I have one of these in my bedroom right now. It is for my second DUI in 5 years. Washington state is tough on DUIs. It is about 18 bucka a day to rent. It can't detect pot but I have to miss work and check in weekly to do a UA. I am not to use any cologne, body spray, eat anything that has vanilla extract in it or use mouthwash. It'll detect the alcohol and I'll be going to the pokey.

With any alcohol related offense in this state no drinking/doobing and going to treatment is a part of the sentence even before you are found guilty. I am on probation for five years. If I get in trouble for anything booze related I'll have to go before a judge for breaking my terms of probation.

/Along with the constant rain, unaffordable housing and all the fat snooty chicks this is yet another reason not to move to Seattle.

They're not testing for whether or not people drink, they're testing for the frequency of drinking. If they call you every day at 10 am and you're always hammered at that time, then they can assume you are an alcoholic, but if you are only drunk when they call you on weekend evenings, that is far more normal drinking behavior.

as it is now, there's a chance the judge will just go ahead and believe that you are an alcoholic so you lose the kids without any way to prove you aren't a danger.

Signed a plea deal - a diversion - so that the case would be as if it didn't happen, etc. Anyway, so I go to sign it and it says "you can't go in bars or liquor stores or have any in your house."
