Seriously.

McCain - "GODDAMN IT, WHY AREN'T YOU SUPPORTING THIS?"

Obama - "Why're you so pissed, dude?"

Clinton - "OBVIOUSLY, this proves Obama can't deal with McCain in a general election. Hillary '08."

WTF?

How can anyone take Hillary seriously anymore? Her entire campaign has just turned into ripping off Obama.

Obama talks about change, Clinton turns around and say SHE is the "real" candidate of change.

Obama uses the slogan "Yes we can", Clinton turns around and uses the slogan "Yes SHE can" (Talk about totally missing the point, by the way)

Obama talks about dreams and vision, Clinton turns around and says SHE is the "real" dream candidate.

Obama portrays himself accurately as an underdog candidate new to washington and going up against an establishment candidate, Clinton turns around and claims (inaccurately) that "she" is the underdog going up against the washington establishement.

what a joke.

Everybody knows that Obama is not the one coming up with the new campaign strategies, Hillary Clinton is the one coming up with the new campaign strategies.

Oh fark off. Obama voted against the war. Even if Obama had nothing else up his sleeve, that should shut McCain and Hillary up about foreign policy.

Hillary should drop out for the good of the party because if she wins the nomination we're going to have yet another republican in the white house, this one being at death's door.

The only way I see McCain winning against Obama is to reunite the Republican party. To do that he'd have to find a very conservative, very connected candidate. Maybe a black woman to grab all the morons that vote along race and gender lines. With Rice as his running mate, Democrats would be united to vote for whoever their candidtae was to avoid the "four more years of Bush" impression and the Republican base would be unified and satisfied. I could see the Republican party forcing McCain to do this too. This fight still has a long, long way to go.

Frank N Stein: Washington is a delegate-heavy state, right?

78 pledged delegates and 19 super delegates. Current reports (anecdotal reports only) show Obama with a 3:1 lead over Hillary. They will likely break down HRC: 20, BHO: 58.

bberg 2008-02-09 07:27:48 PM
Frank N Stein: Washington is a delegate-heavy state, right?

78 delegates are tied to the vote, so if it really goes 75%-25% like we're seeing here in this thread, Obama will "catch up" on the order of 40 delegates. And that's pretty big at this point in the race.

THIS.

It's classic Rovian tactic. Take the thing that's getting your opponent the most traction, co-opt it and then claim that your candidate is REALLY that thing.

See Vet John Kerry turned into Traitor John Kerry while Dumbya becomes the "War President".

See also: Max Cleland.

ClintCo has all the scruples of BushCo.

B Hussein looks like he picked up the momentum at just the right time. The Clinton camp is definitely worried; this was not supposed to happen, not to Hillary, not this year when it was an almost guaranteed Democrat victory. I'm sure behind closed doors, she is absolutely livid.

I am one of the (I) that will vote either Obama or McCain. The VP choice will be a deciding factor because I am interested in the decision making skills of the nominee. McCain has the lead now because I don't believe that our exit strategy from Iraq can be accomplished wih a set timetable and little monetary support. But if McCain chooses the moonbat Huckabee he loses me. If Obama chooses Webb then Obama gets my vote.

FTFY. Obama has a good shot at winning. Hillary has a good shot at losing to absolutely any other choice on the ballot, including write-in votes for obvious joke names like Harry Balsack or Jenny Telwartz.

One of the things that makes me most proud to be a Virginian was that we elected Webb. Dude rules. He is also a farking great novelist.

I really think VA could become a blue state this election if Obama is the nominee.

McCain does not propose an exit strategy from Iraq in the next 100 years.
Obama has consistently voted for war funding.

Your entire premise of a poorly funded exit strategy being the major difference between the two is miserably off-base to say the least...

Exit polls from Louisiana show that 70% on Clinton voters will ONLY be happy if Clinton gets the nomination. 44% of Obama supporters feel the same way.

This was reflected in my precinct when I voted today - Obama supporters were excited and Hillary supporters are extremely bitter and angry. It comes from the top down, clearly.

Obama at least exudes a likable exterior and knew how to hire competent marketers. Clinton... she's got nothing. She can't run a campaign, she can't act likable.

I'm no Obama fan, but with the way his team knows how to market, he would absolutely crush the Republicans. Look at the logos! His is the only one that looks professionally designed. He's got a team that knows how to wrap him up and sell him to the public.

And if the superdelegates unfairly select Clinton over Obama when the convention comes, I think we'll find several million Democrats who will be looking for a new party.

It would be fantastic if there was a record number of people switching affiliation status either from dem or to repub if that happens.

It doesn't have to change your vote, but the party heads will notice that the people are unhappy with them.

Ground_Hog:

A choice of Rice does not get my vote. I think she has proven herself unworthy. She is the female equivalent of a "Yes Man". Nothing from the current administration should touch any part of a McCain ticket. And, based on the Bush-McCain history, I don't think it will. McCain needs an economic conservative, not necessarily a social conservative. IMHO and based on my value system.

/for the record, I am active duty military
