FTA: The only snag is that Daniel is a renowned method actor who puts meticulous research into very complex roles. I'm not quite sure he would find the task of learning Quo songs on guitar challenging enough.

SNARK! It's what's for breakfast!

Bonehead decision on Status Quo's part. They are a great live band and there's footage going back 30 years of them performing. Make a documentary asshats. Instant hit.

Example: Live Madrid 1975. Resurrect these digitally and that'll be a start.

If the Minutemen could do it with their 4 year career, so can they.

I'll go just for the "Sweet Caroline" bukkake scene.

They're remaking This is Spinal Tap?

Isn't this kind of 30 years late? Who gives a fark about a mediocre pub band from the 70s in the 21st century?

If I recall correctly, they were a rather crappy band at their peak.

davynelson "If I recall correctly, they were a rather crappy band at their peak."

No doubt. They were a workman's rock and roll band. But they had a huge following in the '70's when all the bands were glitter rock douchebags. If you wanted a stripped down rock and roll party, they were it. They toured with the Who a lot.

I had their live album when I was a teenager and I wore the grooves out on it at parties.

An industry source said: "Any actors playing the Quo need to look the part. RHYS IFANS would make an ideal Parfitt and DANIEL DAY-LEWIS in white jeans and a pony-tail would look just like Rossi."

wow, that's some great police work there, lou.

I think I've got them mixed up with another band in my head, maybe. I'll keep quiet now til I'm sure.

Good clip, maybe the best I've seen of the Quo. Personally I'm not a big fan of their style of music, but acknowledge they're widely respected and obviously massively talented.

YouTube has huge opportunities for you to realize that. I was quite a big fan of Queen which Muse comes quite close. Also there are some remixes which hold their own, here's one;

/But just type 'Muse' and choose highest rated, there's plenty to keep you, he he, A Muse D, he he.
