I was astonished at how little hoopla there was surrounding this. Vice President Cheney accidentally shot a guy in the face, and didn't tell anybody for many many hours (possibly until the traces of alcohol had been metabolized) ... and nothing. The story just went away.

And the guy who got shot apologized to Cheney. The guy who got shot ... apologized ... TO CHENEY. That still just blows me away (no pun intended).

I hope he brought Bush with him this time

Yet as soon as it happened all the Republicans immediatly started screaming that the "LIEbrals" were going to make a big deal about the situation and that it would be in the liberal media for months. That just never happened.

It wasn't a big deal in the media. despite that Cheney shot someone in the face while intoxicated and arranged to delay any sort of alcohol testing until the next day. I think everyone is just so resigned to the fact that Cheney and his ilk can get away with whatever they want they everyone just said, 'fark it'.

Besides, anyone who participates in a "hunt" that basically involves shooting a bucket full of KFC and calls it hunting deserves to get shot in the face.

I just came here to see how long it would take for someone to post this. I'm kind of disappointed to see that it took so long. (It is a pretty funny bumper sticker though)

It IS probably best we keep the birds in a cage barrel while he shoots. It isn't sporting, but I don't think you will get any complaints from any of the other members of the shooting party.

Now, now, Cheney's not all bad...he did buy himself a brand new heart center at GWU that he lets the rest of the city use occasionally. ;-)
