Yay! Hopefully Derek Anderson has a good game and the Browns can trade his ass to Miami.

That's ok, they really don't care much for LOSERS in the pro bowl anyway.

They say Tom Brady had a tender ankle. I believe that "injury" was real like I believe Gisele is with him for his personality.

Errk [TotalFark] 2008-02-04 04:25:20 PM
Sore LOSER!

JerseyTim [TotalFark] 2008-02-04 04:39:29 PM
Give the man a break. He just got sacked five times by the Super Bowl Champion New York Football Giants. I'd like to see you recover from that.

JerseyTim: Give the man a break. He just got sacked five times by the Super Bowl Champion New York Football Giants. I'd like to see you recover from that.

..and that last sack was a doozy.

The fact that he didn't lose the ball and still had the where-with-all to come up making the "time out" signal was pretty impressive...well, as impressive as one can look after getting knocked silly, I suppose.

Go Patriots! (next year)

ignernt 2008-02-04 04:58:06 PM
I was expecting him to be Probable with a shoulder injury. You know, the same injury he's had for the past three years.

/He sprained his taint when Gisele removed his testes.

robsul82 [TotalFark] 2008-02-04 05:03:15 PM
Well, going 18-1 is what happens when you rob the fans of The Matt Cassel Era, selfish jerk.

/18-1

never saw this one coming.

Pfft! 2008-02-04 05:48:50 PM
I went to OSU when Derek Anderson was qb there...admittedly, he holds a few good records, but I believe he also holds records for interceptions. I wanted to pull my hair out eery time he threw the ball...hes gotten a ton better, but damn, I still dont like the guy.

Fraggler [TotalFark] 2008-02-04 05:51:29 PM
Not a Pats fan and loved the end to last night's game. That said, this doesn't look like a whiny biatch move. His ankle had problems before the Super Bowl and he got hit hard several times last night. I should know, I cheered each time.

Prattling on about how this makes Brady a pussy is just crass.

nakedninja 2008-02-04 05:51:38 PM
Moss has backed out too...Chad Johnson is taking his place...

Shaggy_C 2008-02-04 05:52:34 PM
He and Brett Farve can both go nurse their wounds handed to them by the Giants while the tough guys go out and enjoy themselves in Hawaii.

Kornchex [TotalFark] 2008-02-04 06:04:23 PM
He's freaking hurt. He's been to the game before. There's nothing wrong with him skipping it. It gives someone else the chance to go, for one.

Hell, half of the Chargers are missing it too, though their injuries are much more severe.

Have a big bottle of 18-1 sauce.

/not sure when I said I don't care about Boston CHOKING, but

I wonder what he's going to do with all that spare time. Fark his beautiful supermodel girlfriend on a bed made of $100 bills?

I hope he's okay.

hypnotoad1 2008-02-04 06:08:03 PM
As much as I dislike Brady and the Pats, I still don't see a problem with skipping this. The Pro Bowl is such a worthless game anyway. I'm sure it means much more to Derek Anderson than it would to Brady.

Dude, he set the all-time record for yards in a season for a Bengal and was 3rd in the NFL in receiving yards.

I felt like he had a lousy year when I think of a few dropped passes he had in critical situations. I just wish Marvin Lewis would have stood up to him like a man and not treated him like a baby. Overall it's Chad's fault for his attitude, but Lewis doesn't help much...

It won't be long before totally healthy guys start opting out of this charade. As fun as it is to pile on brady, this is a total non-issue.

Well we've got the Sean Canfield Experience goin' now. Moevao looked decent towards the end, hopefully he can keep Canfield on the bench next year.

Well it's not that obscure a reference...but well struck, nonetheless. I'm tired of debating the point with UA and T.rex. I have faith in Savage. If he signs DA to a long term deal, so be it. If he pulls off a sign and trade, or just makes the minimum offer for the 1st and 3rd compensation, so be it. I'd like to see what DA can do given a year of starting full time. But I no longer care enough to discuss it with those two chuckleheads.

MCSoftserve 2008-02-04 06:16:29 PM
Does anyone know why Moss dropped out?

I love how Kellen Winslow Jr. is having his surgery done after the Pro Bowl, and he didn't even know if he'd play, but now Brady is dropping out with a tender ankle.

/Go Browns!

Hard to say. He has trouble getting into his home after an end-zone was put in front of it.

As a ballboy for the Zips, I once put Zippy's head on in the dugout when he went to the bathroom. I poked my head up over the top of the dugout, and gave the crowd the middle finger. Much hilarity ensued.

It's got nothing to do with karma. The Pats sucked yesterday, and that's all there was to it. And as for losing, the only ones who lost yesterday were the Patriots fans. The millionaires got to go cry themselves to sleep in their multi-million dollar homes on the shoulders of their hot wives.

skinink 2008-02-04 06:26:47 PM
Yea, idiot Brady should have gone despite the injury, because everyone knows that nobody ever suffers a major injury at a Pro Bowl.

I do, however, think their overweening hubris is a huge reason why they lost. And that can coutn as karma in my book.

Mike Riley is horrible for quarterback development. His players take almost two years to even look half-way competent.

The guy can head coach, but he really needs to let someone else take care of the offense.

slipperyrockdawg: Moevao looked decent towards the end, hopefully he can keep Canfield on the bench next year.

Well, except when he had to throw the ball or run the ball. The guy is just about as bad as Canfield at not being able to control the ball when throwing, but he's even worse at holding onto the ball when he's hit and trying to gain a couple yards.

Lyle is a better leader, though...

Anyway, good for DA. As someone said, he'll appreciate this a lot more than Brady will. And we all knew Brady wasn't 100%... I cannot imagine the Super Bowl made him feel better.
