John Mayer is the worst, he is a prime example of what is wrong with the music industry. He gets all this praise and recognition as being this amazing guitar player, when he isn't that good. Who ever called him the "New Slowhand" should DIAF. The industry is so devoid of talent that anyone who can kind of play their instrument gets held up and praised. There are thousands of better guitarist and blues players out their, that deserve the recognition that Mayer gets.

John Mayer, although I can honestly say that I don't like his particular brand of music, is absolutely hilarious. He has the most bizarre sense of humour, and that makes me love the guy.

The fact that other famous players play with him does not mean that he is good, it means they want a pay check. I am sure if you were to get a candid answer from any of the greats that had played with him, they would not be all that impressed.

Wow, so much pointless fury! There are a few nice soft Radiohead songs that might be able to cool you down a bit.

I hate when lame acts like John Mayer (and no I don't care how talented a guitar player he is, his original music is an unforgivable sin) try to co-op something far cooler than themselves to try and circumvent the magnitude of their own mountain of suckage.

nobody has said anything REMOTELY like this, unless i missed it somewhere. do you read the threads you post in? we're not saying he needs to be allan holdsworth, we're saying if hes going to be heralded as a guitar player(and one who gets his cock sucked constantly for how great he is)that he should just not suck.
