Nope, I flipped through Fox News today and was unsurprised to see them talking about the Super Bowl, except they were comparing presidential wins to where the Super Bowl was held. They paralleled Bush's win to Super Bowl XXXVIII (new window) and Super Bowl XIV (new window) to Reagan's win. Both Super Bowls were held in the candidates' governed states.

So obviously they not-so-subtly said, "Hey, this year's Super Bowl is in Arizona!" I wanted to throw my drink at the TV, but instead I just changed the channel, like I should have.

The republican candidates more resemble the post-superbowl alcohol induced snoozefest.

Actually, it's been pretty funny watching the Fox Network running ads tying the Super Bowl to Super Tuesday, claiming it's a merging of "America's two favorite pastimes." An utterly BS claim, but it does speak volumes about their tendency to view politics as a game, and their desire for their viewers to do the same.

Recall all Repuglikkans: "Doesn't matter. Everyone's pretty much put Hillary at top. The press is pushing her and if it's close, her superdelegates will run all over Obama at the ocnvention."

Either way, it still adds up to a win for the GOP. Hillary is the only other person on this earth that is less electable than Obama. Okay, that may be slight hyperbole, but you get the point.

What are you watching/reading? I've been pretty affixed to MSNBC/CNN and a bunch of political websites, and I can't find a single trace of this Clinton bias I seem to be hearing so much about. If anything, it's the exact opposite, as evidenced today when Wolf Blitzer showed two emails he received: one from an Obama supporter giving some well-thought out reasons he should be president and would be our best hope for a better America, and one from a Hillary supporter saying she's voting Clinton because we need a woman in the White House.

I'm a huge Obama supporter, so you would think I'd be tuned to look for any bias against my candidate, but I honestly cannot find any.

Fortunately for those of us who live in reality, the numbers don't back up your claims at all. Perhaps you forgot/never realized, but Obama got nearly as many white votes in South Carolina (a bastion of racism) as the white woman and the white man did, and he won the predominantly white state of Iowa.

America is still racist, to be sure, but it seems like the inherent racism in our country has evolved from being against all individual members of a group to the group itself. We look at people like Obama or Tiger Woods and don't really even see their race because they are accomplished, strong members of society. However, even though they might avoid (based on individual achievement) the pains of racism, the race that they belong to can still provoke irrational fear and bigotry in a lot of people.

In short, I think you're totally wrong for several reasons (the aforementioned being one of them).

Exactly. It's that sort of nonsense that is marginalizing Clinton as the 'female' candidate in the same way Jesse Jackson was marginalized as the 'black' candidate. It's going to destroy her campaign if you give it enough time, and the media seems to be subtly trying to undermine her campaign at every juncture. If you watched in the run up to the SC primary, it was pretty obvious that a majority of the talking heads (that I saw, anyway) had it in for Clinton and her particular brand of dirty politicking.
