In Fact, Gallup has a report showing that the majority of Obama's gains are coming from women. Hilary still has the advantage, but it's narrowing.

This is great news... as soon as I get my bank to unfreeze my check card I'm going to donate to the campaign

Yes we can! Shameless plug follows:

Donate to Barack Obama's campaign and I'll send you a postcard from Tokyo, Japan.

my.barackobama.com

I will also send postcards if you contribute to keithgabryelski's fundraiser (located here).

You may want to go with his instead of mine since he's matching all donations, which means your money will go twice as far. If you choose to do so, just forward me a copy of your confirmation email along with your address (myfarkname at gmail dot com).

Keep believing!

The trend lines show that Obama just has to keep it close on Super Tuesday to win the nomination. Even if he doesn't win the majority of the delegates, the polls are trending for him in the long run.

I'm gonna vote for Obama, but I know he's going to lose.

Hillary has a machine that has been under construction for the past 15 years. A MONSTER machine, designed to squelch, burn, kill, rape, and pillage anyone and anything that will not vote for her.

She's gonna get the nomination, and I'm NEVER going to vote for her. I've never voted republican, ever. Never. If she wins, you better believe I'll vote republican over that cooze-bag any day of the week

gObama!

I was at the St. Louis rally last night. 20,000 people there. Even before that rally he had moved into a statistical tie with Clinton in MO.

Unfortuantely, in regards to Cali, the one thing that hurts Obama is the fact voters are allowed to start sending in absentee ballots even before the primaries begin. Alot of people likely voted Clinton on those ballots simply out of name recognition that may have gone to Obama once his message really started to get out.

Still, even something close to a tie in Cali has to hurt Clinton. That state was supposed to be money in the bank for her. Even two weeks ago she had a massive lead there.

You realize that McCain isn't anywhere close to Obama on the issues, right? That is, unless Obama recently backed the "100 years" of war platform.

I honestly think mcCain and hillary would be pretty similar presidents.

They say some different shiat now, but that is because they are in primaries and fighting for the nomination. Both are flip flopping as fast as they can to pander to their bases.

But once in office, they would be pretty similar.

And to think, the California primary was nearly a month later in 2004; if that was the case this time around, Obama would possibly win in a landslide.

I wouldn't be so sure though. That machine wasn't really designed to take down this level of opposition from within her own party, especially such a... dark... opposition, if you catch my drift. It was however designed to take out a cookie-cutter republican, like Romney or whatever idiot they have running this week, although McCain would give her trouble.

Come join the fiscally moderate-conservative/socially liberal for Obama train!

I'm already sick of the race- and gender-baiting in this election. Personally I couldn't care less what color or sex these people are; I'm only interested in their character and their political platform.

It's that same insidious old trick of the powerful to keep the less-powerful where they are: Divide and conquer. They tell you, "You have more in common with rich white assholes like Mitt Romney than with the black guy who works next to you at the factory." Or, "Women are trying to usurp your rightful position in society, men." Blah blah blah.

The sad part is, it works. Lou Dobbs has my gentle old grandma ready to take a pitchfork to Mexican immigrants these days. Tsk, tsk.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves. Polls are often wrong. Zogby should rename himself ZOMGby because his are often the outliers. Lots of hard work left to do - I'm in New York and I'm about to spend my second afternoon in a row freezing my ass off reminding people to vote on Tuesday for BHO.

it's looking like it's going to be a delegate split no matter who has the slight edge in popular-vote...

this thing is probably going to come down to Ohio and Texas, two well-known bastions of progress and tolerance.

so, yeah...

Then you should be sick of Hillary.

Obama appeasl to blacks, but I have NEVER. Not once heard him refer to his skin color or say that people should vote for him for being black.

OTOH, almost everytime I hear Hillary she says "I'm a woman, that would be a huge change in washington!" (she said that at the last debate) or "I've had to deal with sick babies. I've had to deal with late babysittesr. That is experience I'd bring to the white house" (she said that in a speech)

On top of that, she has played the race card against Obama pretty frequently.

It is truly disgusting.

However, the one thing that helps Obama is likely to destroy Hillary on Chesepeake tuesday (Maryland, Virginia, DC)

So if he comes out even on super tuesday, then crushes on Feb 12th.... he probably as the momentum to win the rest.

I'm heading down with a group of Virginians living in exile on that day to vote for him. I've got one van-full and am working on another

I've donated twice to the Obama campaign so far. I'm also trying to help out in other ways.

Wouldn't it be nice to vote for someone you don't have to categorize as the "Lesser of two evils" for once? I know I would appreciate that, getting the chance to vote for Obama in the general would give me that opportunity, and I would be more than happy to have that. :)

Also... for the folks talking about race and gender... remember, this isn't about race or gender... it's about America, and it's about time we have a candidate that can pull us up from the mire we've been in for too long.

Can we raise taxes?

Can we essentially give insurance companies their own government branch?

Can we pull out troops immediately and leave Iraq in pieces?

Can we redistribute our wealth and expand our government?

Can we call for mandated national service?

Can we do all this while claiming to bridge the partisan gap?

YES WE CAN!

Im on the Pub side but i think ive been reasonable enough not to draw too much hate. Hope obama pulls this off. i wont be voting for him in the GE but I like him a hell of alot more than Hillary so if hes in the race I wont worry so much about losing in November.

By what markers do you judge winning and losing?

eatin' fetus, I don't know if you've noticed this, but the greatest expansions of government in the past 30 years have been under Reagan and Bush II. Now they're watching your every move! Feel safer?

I really hope this works out. The absentee ballot system is so stupid though, and from what I've heard there are a LOT of absentee ballots, so I think she'll be ahead in CA when everything is counted. I still think he has a good chance of coming close.

I also would love the chance to not have to vote for the lesser of two evils.

If that's what it takes to get everyone in America health insurance, then HELL YES.

God I hope so!

I'd love that.

Can we call for mandated national service?

You must be confused, McCain is the authoritarian military nut.

H : people like digitalstrange think the world is a big football game. If the US military is bombing some brown folks, their "team" is "scoring" and they feel like they're winning. Otherwise, they're "losing". Simple minds, simply understood.

Strange way to differentiate herself, as I'm pretty sure Obama has had the same experiences. It's not like he doesn't have kids or that Michelle's been raising them by herself.
