Bwa-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha! The mental picture is just too much.

If only there were some sort of facility that we could place in charge of elder care. It would need to be comfortable and have a home feel about it. The elderly often have many health issues, so we would probably want to have some nurses on staff.

is it just me, or does this remind anyone else of Seinfeld?

"She was in the middle of the road lying on the floor and her shopping bag was thrown half-way across the street."

How does that work? Did she like drop her shopping bag just about where she was lying? Where is the floor on a roadway?

Isn't that a Beatles song?

She was clearly trying to get the shopping bag as far across the street as possible, in hopes of getting a first down.

Inspector Les Pritchard said: "The information we have is that a fairly elderly lady was waiting to cross the road outside Somerfield in Tewkesbury High Street.

"As she was waiting, she was struck by a mobility scooter which then drove away."

That's some mighty fine police work there, Lou....er, Les.

An Irn Bru commercial! I was just saying I'd kill for a can and an aspirin right now.

My Mom was hit by a 3 ton Tilly in a scooter in the grocery store. She's in her 80's, and was not hurt badly, but the driver (35-45 ish, 400#s and not hurt at all)was screaming she was going to sue the store, scooter manufacturer and anyone else who happened to be around. The EMT people found a pharmacy of Rx drugs on her. She was high as a kite, but kept denying it. Felt really bad for the EMT guys - was a real chore to get her in the ambulance, and the language she was using would have embarrassed a merchant marine.

And that's why I've decided to no longer shop at Walmart.

I've often wondered if the night stockers in the store have Nascar styled races in those chairs after hours....
I think I saw a #3 sticker on the back of one of them.

The age of the scooter driver is unknown. It's not just the elderly who drive them.

During a stint at the mall, I saw an old shriveled up man on a red scooter zipping around the mall as though he were doing the Indy 500. I made a mental note to get one of those scooters when I'm too old to walk around.

Wow

Wait, the scooter drove away?
...
On its own? No driver?
