Subby fails. A family wanting closure isn't asinine.

YOU fail. Someone being decalred a victim of an event that happened AFTER they went missing is asinine.

She lived two blocks from the WTC. I think it's a pretty damn reasonable assumption she was there, considering the last known sighting of her was the night before. I don't understand how there's any serious argument over this.

King Something: Someone being decalred a victim of an event that happened AFTER they went missing is asinine

I'm pretty sure almost everyone who died on 9/11 died after they "went missing", i.e. their last confirmed sighting. Remains were never found for a majority of people who died in the WTC.

I RTFA and it seems very likely that she was there. Fail, subby.

What I mean is her last confirmed sighting was before 9/11; in other words, she'd be listed as a missing person EVEN IF 9/11 NEVER HAPPENED

I was going to refute the submitter's choice of tag, but why bother when the article already has a perfect quote:

The appeals court said that while no direct evidence linked her to the trade center site, it is "highly probable" she was there.

"She wasn't kidnapped by Martians," Bogatin said. "She's not hiding. ... She never had any plans to leave."

Not if they would have found her *because* 9/11 never happened.

Her husband has no plans to sue, it's too late to collect government money, so it's pretty clear they just want some closure.

I'm glad you're on the case. This has to be stopped.

Doctor lives two blocks from World Trade Center, was last seen the night before before a massive disaster at World Trade Center killed thousands of people, at a store across the street from the World Trade Center. Sure, it's possible something else could have been the cause of her demise, but are you really going to argue 9/11 wasn't the most likely?

It certainly changed the way I used to casually drive to my favorite mid-eastern restaurant in montreal, and have a nice meal.

So, I'm guessing the Something he is king of is 'douchebaggery'.

She's last scene the night before 9/11, she lives nearby, and she;s a doctor. Could it be she went there to try and help injured people, and died? Hmmmm seems pretty farking likely.

You know, seeing as she was never seen again, never used her credit cards, didn't pack or take anything from her home...

And then we hung Saddam, and then we bomed a lot of Afghanistan, and did not touch one poppy, for fear yeah, I said "fear" of disturbing any M00slims. And then mad rednecked posturing gestures on Iran. Like "are you loooking at my girlfriend?"

TFA: authorities have yet to find any identifiable remains from more than 1,100 people believed killed on Sept. 11.

So you're saying 33% of the decalred 9/11 victims are asinine. Your ideas are intriguing to me and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter.

Since it happened in the morning, it makes perfect sense that the last time she was seen was the night before.

Occam says that's what happened to her.

dwalder 2008-02-02 11:29:29 PM
If this was Law & Order or CSI:NY, the hubby (not subby) might have been investigated to find any suspicious circs. The (chance timing of) the destruction of the WTC would have created a pretty good cover for some kinds of foul play. Doesn't sound like the reporter/editor had anything to add on that front, so maybe the fight on the courthouse steps ended there, going no further.

But I'm not casting stones or accusations. The most common reason wives go missing is statistically evident, and it usually isn't this scale of event. /NINEELEVEN.

SAD tag would also have kicked ASININE's butt.

Are you serious? We watched the plane hit the tower, destroy the building and witnessed it plummet to the ground on live television, and people are still arguing over it! This could linger for years.

9/11 who?

I think its a leap of faith to say she was at the WTC on 9/11. Probably murdered on the night of the 10th or something. Sure she lives two blocks away, but she didn't even go home that night. On top of that what exactly would a random doctor be doing inside the towers?

You know, you're right. Let's throw everyone who was at the bar last night into jail because there was a murder there and hey, they were seen there and they could have done it.

"Pretty farking likely" and "what actually happened" never have been able to get on the same page. IN fact, They're rarely in the same book.
