How do things go green with no votes, and no comments? Seems to run counter to the "good" articles going green.

Mercury had the best voice EVAR.
Don't even question this.
This is FACT.

Just wanted to thank my parents for being Queen fans and introducing them to me at a young age.

/8-year-old step-grandson loves them too

I think Queen is one of the only bands that everyone can appreciate no matter what their music tastes may be. They are all around awesome.

Goddamn, I've seen that a dozen times and I still get goosebumps. And I was just listening to "Sweet Lady" off A Night At The Opera when I saw this link, too!

Goddamn AIDS, f*ck you! F*ck you for all the horror and pain you've inflicted, but on a purely selfish level, f*ck you for taking that voice from us. Is there any doubt that if Freddie was alive, he'd still have possibly the most powerful voices on the plane today? He was like Black Bolt from the Inhumans!

Mr. Bulsara was the SH*T!

Exactly. Try and name a genre that existed during their time that they didn't tackle and sound awesome in doing so .... good luck. Rock, metal, R&B, rockabilly, opera, traditional ballads, symphonic, barrelhouse piano tunes, funk, semi-rap (OK, some of those forays were a little unfortunate, but they were fun because, well sh*t, it was Queen), dance, synth ..... jesus, they tried just about anything and looked good doing it.

Look, I love Queen, but this song is so farking cheesy it's embarrassing to listen to. The only redemption is Brian's solo.

I disagree. I respect them as musicians but I've never cared for their music.

Me, my "Night at the Opera" tattoo, autographed half-speed-mastered Japanese vinyl copy of "Opera" framed next to the pic of me and Brian May while he's signing it, poseable 18" Freddie Mercury figurine, framed Millenium stamp, massive collection of Queen albums, bootlegs, hard-to-find solo records, posters, photo album full of old backstage passes, books, DVD's VHS tapes, laserdiscs, vinyl, and nude bicycle race poster all thank Subby, and all of the Queen love in this thread.

Best, most influential band EVAR. Nobody else even comes close.

in Liverpool accent: "not even the Beatles?"
Are you saying that Queen was bigger than the Beatles? :-P

/ I think they're both great, really.
// I have most of their 70's albums, but stopped at The Game.
/// I *do* have 1982 Live at the Bowl DVD tho...
/// Freddie had one of the greatest voices/vocals of ALL TIME.
//// and charisma and character to boot.
// tons of slashies ftw

No, just bigger than Jesus.

I still love this song, and I don't want to get tired of it (damn Circut City). Living in TN, you'd think the only song they ever recorded was Bohemian Rhapsody. I really like their '80s stuff (hell, I even like "Hot Space". Srsly).

Of course they did - listen to the song. Queen played quite a bit of them after they lost their synth cherry on The Game.
