That guy has got to have one of the worst voices in rock.

Oh how i love Guns N Roses, great song.

I know the Neil Young crowd can't get excited for anything more recent than 1986, (See three above) but I think Guns N' Roses is one of the greatest bands EVAR.

Definitely agree with that. I liked many of their songs, but I never understood what the big deal was with Rose. Still not sure which is more annoying; Axl Rose or any AC/DC vocalist.

I don't think he necessarily has that bad of a voice, he just needs to learn how to shut the fark up and not step all over the rest of the band. Seriously, listening to him yammer over Slash's solos on every damn album is farking ANNOYING.

drredhook 2008-02-01 01:34:33 AM
To each his own. I think his voice was great with the band.

This song is really overlooked. It was an all-around great album but personally I think this song was one of the best.

Uh I will amend that by saying Axl live really sucks. Great on the albums though.

Rocket Queen might well be Guns greatest song.

I've found that after this many years, though, I can now actually listen to Appetite for destruction too much. I think I'm too old.

I suppose with layered vocals, vocal effects and automatic pitch correction, many people can sound good in the studio.

Your point is fair though. They put out some good tunes but when you hear him (heck even Slash at times) live they pretty much get destroyed.

too much? Really?
I listen to "Anything Goes" every time I'm about to nail a crazy chick. Motivational music baby!!!

I agree with the other guy:

no STEVEN ADLER no GUNS AND ROSES

/And Gilby Clarke is useless

And this, kiddies, is why anyone but the most deluded GNR fan combing his mullet in the front seat of a '89 Camaro knows that "Chinese Democracy", if it does come out, will be a clusterfark of truly epic proportions.

I mean, that shiat was with Slash and the rest of the band around. Imagine how awful it will be with Axl's ego unchecked.

Crude 2008-02-01 10:27:07 AM
That was painful.

I was lucky to see GNR in '87, when they were good, and not on a stadium tour.

Do Japanese concert go-ers ever get out of their seats and rawk out? They are always so damn well behaved, it's a little strange.

There are few words on Fark that ring as true as that.

Rocket Queen is one of my faves from this album.

WTF!? Why are there teleprompters on the stage?

spittman 2008-02-01 12:12:18 PM
Use Your Illusion era GNR... Or as I like to call them, the GNR Philharmonic. How many f'ing people were in that band. No Izzy Stradlin and no Steven Adler means no GNR. Not that there weren't some great songs on the Use Your Illusions, but Appetite for Destruction is my favorite album of all time. I wore out two cassettes before I finally got it on CD... Get off my lawn.

echoshizzle 2008-02-01 01:09:46 PM
carmody: WTF!? Why are there teleprompters on the stage?

He still uses them in concert.. I guess it was just a normal thing for him?

carmody: WTF!? Why are there teleprompters on the stage?

I believe they were first used on the tour after their double album. Rose had trouble remembering all of the lyrics (and set list) so they started placing teleprompters on stage.

When MTV first reported the use of them it was like Milli Vanilli all over again...but different.

wood 2008-02-01 02:34:49 PM
that was awesome

doctorwormwood 2008-02-02 11:56:19 AM
whatever haters... they rocked... yer all full of shiat... My Michelle was a great song too.. this whole album was great.. and talk all the shiat you want about use yer illusion.. those albums both had some great stuff on em.. and "GASP" they might not sound as good live as on album .. but they weren't lip synching... and wtf how can you listen to the last part of that video and say Rose has a shiat voice... you try singing that shiat at 6 minutes
