i remember explaining who osi-b was to a friend of mine on the 10th of september, 2001. i am not a highly placed govt operative. i was a college student who read some things in the mass media. there was no secret that terrorists wanted to attack our country. your claim is very very bold. such a crime would have been tantamount to bush actually planning it and carrying it out himself.

You don't understand. 9/11 changed everything.

Truthers are one of the most compelling evidence that we need to teach more and better science in our public schools with an emphasis on critical thinking.

High School science class cannot teach you everything about Strengths of Materials, Thermo, or the other more intricate and complex things that Truthers think they understand from watching a 2 hour video. But it can teach you proper deductive reasoning and how to recognize a flawed scientific argument when they are as blatantly flawed as most of the "science" portrayed in conspiracy videos.

Also, when an argument is actually plausible, that doesn't mean the scientifically rigorous thing to do is accept it. It needs to be subjected to testing to weed out the specifics of the scenario to make sure you aren't drawing a false-positive from some piece of minutia.

All of the evidence presented for the 9/11 conspiracy theories is either blatantly inaccurate, implausible, or an outright fabrication.

You realize that the ae911Truth is just a bunch of people who believe the government is out to get them first, therefore they must have somehow been behind 9/11 as a consequence, right? They are basically a think tank to try to justify that somehow, some way, the government had to have been behind 9/11. Their arguments are also constantly shot down, as are David Ray Griffin's, Steven Jones, et. al. by the architectural and civil engineering communities.

They do not represent near the majority of their field, or even 1% of it. The number of members they have is HALF the graduating class of Civil and Architectural Engineers at my school ALONE. And I go to a relatively small university (CalPoly SLO, CA). Keep in mind they are pulling engineers' names and credentials from the world-wide POOL of architects and engineers (and not just architectural or civil engineers). The fact that they only have 250 is more pathetic than the Creationists' "Dissent from Darwin" list that was blown out of the water by the Steve-o-meter

What input do firefighters and janitors have? Firefighters know: how to put out various types of fires and how to provide basic medical attention. That's it. They do not know about structures and loads or stresses. They don't study thermodynamics for a year in undergrad, they don't even take a physics class. Not to undermine firefighters, their work is noble and appreciated, but that doesn't make them experts on building collapse. The ones who are part of Firefighters for 9/11 Truth are also just people using argument from authority, and they ALSO don't represent NEAR a preponderance or even significant portion of their field.
