All the more reason to vote for Obama for the nomination.

It's really hard to overstate how much most of the GOP hates McCain. Fiscal conservatives, social conservatives, nativists, libertarians, we all hate him. So who's voting for him you ask? Old people and retards as far as I can tell.

Diogenes [TotalFark] 2008-01-31 05:28:01 PM
Geez, even I can't muster that sort of rage against McCain.

And for what it's worth, why no rage for Bush on immigration? Neocons hate that McCain broke from the pack on tax cuts and torture. But when he sides with Bush on immigration *whoa!* - it's like he's opened the borders completely and is handing out maps and care packages to Mexicans.

McCain, for his considerable weaknesses, has at least worked to get something done in the Senate. It's easy pick apart a bill after the fact, but at least the guy is out there, trying, and getting shiat passed.

I always figured the Republican party was full of retards.

/Registered Republican so I can snark about it.

If McCain gets the nod, does that mean all that asshat ultra right wingers who hate him will just leave and go make their own party?

Because that would be great.

Somehow, I'm unswayed by the opinions of a woman who attacks brain damaged children.

FTA:

GLENN: Have you ever seen such an audacious slap in the face to the American people as this?

MALKIN: I haven't felt one like this in a long time, Glenn. I'm still reeling from it.

As if this was the first slap in the face to the American people delivered by the GOP voters.

UnkleKrakker 2008-01-31 05:49:03 PM
Coulter, Limbaugh & Malkin all hate him

Good enough for me!

McCain 08!!

Where were you during the last immigration debate?

Neocons hate that McCain broke from the pack on tax cuts and torture. But when he sides with Bush on immigration *whoa!* - it's like he's opened the borders completely and is handing out maps and care packages to Mexicans.

I don't hate him for anything I disagree with him on tax cuts, immigration, campaign finance etc.

McCain, for his considerable weaknesses, has at least worked to get something done in the Senate. It's easy pick apart a bill after the fact, but at least the guy is out there, trying, and getting shiat passed.

Getting shiatty legislation passed is nothing to brag about

She has been just as visible as always

RoyBatty 2008-01-31 05:50:45 PM
Makes sense to me, since Hillary Clinton is the Corporation Candidate.

However, John McCain does have like a 100% perfect conservatard voting record.

Anyway, I just want to see Malkin shoot a ping pong ball, preferably targeting Ann Coulter's face.

That's the million dollar question ain't it? I always just assumed it was all show to make money -- the frightening possibility these asshats are serious about their fascist agenda is not something I like to admit. I'm still waiting to see tho.

Maybe they've had their egos so masturbated the last 10 years, they come to believe their own bullshiat?

I would be a fan of that as well. If the GOP were to go back to being Goldwater or Rockefeller Republicans, and ejected the fundies I would respect the party, and consider voting for them.

Hang On Voltaire [TotalFark] 2008-01-31 05:55:42 PM
I will vote for McCain if he is the nominee.

Bill Frist 2008-01-31 05:56:03 PM
i can't believe BOTH the republicans and democrats are going to get the candidate that is the most hated.

It should have been Romney or Thompson versus Obama.

What a farking wacked out primary.

Even though you disagree with him on some big issues? I guess the alternative is voting for someone you disagree with completely or not voting at all.

I gotta say, this 2 party thing is shiat.

A disagree with McCain on quite a few issues, but there is no way in hell those disagreements would cause me to vote for Hillary.

/Still miffled that McCain wanted to ban college sports betting in Nevada.

Michelle Malkin is only one casting couch blowjob ahead of half the live-in maids in America, and only one forgot-to-turn-off-the-mic tirade away from picking up the vacuum cleaner again.

Maybe she should remember that without immigration (fark off if you don't see that these people also hate LEGAL immigration) it's even money she'd be hustling Peruvian merchant seamen in Davao.

I love when moonbats show their racist side.

Bill Frist 2008-01-31 06:03:58 PM
I don't know why anyone would be against McCain. People say they disagree with him on issues... what issues? As far as I can tell from watching republican debates McCain's entire platform is:

1) He was "a footsoldier of Reagan."
2) He is a "Straight Talker (tm)"
3) He was tortured in Vietnam
4) He "knows how to get Bin Laden"
5) He will "follow Osama to the gates of hell"

How could you disagree with him on any of those issues!?!?!?!

/seriously, McCain has become a joke
//total self-parody

Bush JR made McCain his biatch in 2000.
Slapped the shiat out of him then had him kissing his ass afterwards.
The least they can do is give the guy his dignity back and set it up so he can win this time around.

Skleenar 2008-01-31 06:08:47 PM
Fireproof: I'd think that if you're a liberal, Malkin hating someone would be a good reason to support them.

I think voting for someone because it would piss someone else off is just about the worse reason to vote there is.

At least the worst that isn't tied to an actual policy or anything.

Lets use something above the reptile brain, 'K?

Bill Frist 2008-01-31 06:09:00 PM

They don't hate him. I don't think anybody 'hates' Senator McCain. He's one of those people who's hard not to like. He's a very likable guy. He's also a politician and a long time senator. I think that's the problem.

I hate him.

Over the last 3 years he has pissed on every principle he stood for and turned into a pandering charicture of his former self. I don't give a fark if he was heroic 40 years ago in Vietnam. He is a hollow self-serving hypocritical farkwad now.

The election in 2008 is going to be about turnout more than about which candidate is more likeable. The Republicans are going to have problems getting people to the polls if there talking heads hate their candidate this much.

This could easily trump the polls saying McCain would beat Hillary.

It is noticeable that the Democratic primaries are getting a lot of voters out.

He's a good man and very good at representing his state. The problem that I refer to is that he's a compromiser, and not a leader. 'Reaching across the isle', 'bipartisonship', 'willing to work with the opposition', etc., are all typical media terms for Republicans who agree with Democrats. It's virtually never the other way around.

Get over getting your way all the time. You are getting fired. Bipartisanship is a GOOD thing. You guys forgot that when you crowned Bush. That is why you will be out of power for a while.

What farking idiots. You thing Romney is BETTER?

There were only three candidates in the entire eleciton I truly hated:

McCain, Hillary and Rudy 911.

The fact that the election might come down to 2 of those 3 makes me want to projectile vomit against every american flag in the world.

I'd say he's more pathetic than anything else at this point.

I don't hate him. I pity him. It's like he lost his sense of self somewhere in the last 7 years.

/Don't quite get why the righties seem to want to lose though.
//McCain is their only shot of winning, and even then it'll be a tough road.

Or Romney, for that matter. The position he described on immigration last night - let illegal immigrants sort out their accounts, let their kids graduate from college, and don't deport them for a fairly long period of time if they have an important job - sounds surprisingly like Huckabee's position. It should anger any of the "DEPORT THEM ALL NOW" crowd.

There will be plenty of Gay rights and gay marrriage issues to vote on that will get the Republican base to the polls. It is an effective tool that has worked well in the past and will be used again. Stop the fags and vote for the republican while you are there!

Continuing to be a Republican after the last 7 years could be interpreted as a sign of retardation. I certainly feel stupider.
