Now, no make up is necessary for the Thriller video. And boy, does P.Y.T. take on a fresh new meaning 25 years later!

Come on, it's not supposed to be THAT scary.

And by "is recording", they mean will release in two weeks, so it's all a blatant plug.

Ugh. I just heard Will. I. Am.'s remix of the girl is mine...for gawd's sake, can rappers please stop raping perfectly good songs by blurting absolute nonsense through repeated samples?

I mean the original was a duet, and now it is jackson with WillIAm spewing ..rock...rock...whatever over and over through the song. What the fark does that add to the song?

/hates modern sampleretardrappers.

I'll be interested to hear who else is involved in destroying one of the greatest albums known to man.

Ah, I found the press release (new window):

The newly expanded version of Thriller premieres five tracks previously unreleased in any form: a new Kanye West remix of "Billie Jean"; a new 2008 version of "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'" with Akon and will.i.am; will.i.am remixes of "The Girl Is Mine" and "P.Y.T."; and "For All Time," a rare unreleased cut from the original Thriller recording sessions, newly mixed and mastered by Michael Jackson.

It also includes the 3 bonus songs from the last rerelease, and a DVD with the music videos for "Thriller," "Beat It," and "Billie Jean" along with a live performance of "Billie Jean."

Basically, the only thing they're adding is these new "hip" (read: crappy) versions of the best songs.

Thanks, but no thanks.

Nobody needs to redo "The Girl Is Mine" since Richard Cheese remade it with Stephen Hawking.

In related news, Jacko is out of money.

The surest sign of desperation is when an artist does a new recording of his or her old hit song. Like, "Hey, remember me?" Truly pathetic.

This is sad. It's a great album, leave it alone.

Downloaded it a few weeks ago; truly horrid. He couldn't get anyone better than Kanye, will.i.am and Fergie to do remixes/vocal additions? Even in his fallen state, MJ can and should still command far more talented cameos. It's a classic album, now tainted with flavor-of-the-last-few-years acts. You're better off picking up the last special edition with the bonus tracks, not this crap. Bad Michael. Bad.

I would pay good money to guarantee that I never hear it.

Ever.

He'll just need it to look like a human.

It's like a celebrity 401K. When they're old & washed up, they rehash their best work and ride that gravy train into the grave.
\I'm lookin' at you Stallone!

I hope the public will rally together and do the right thing -- boycott this album and tell everyone you know not to buy it.

Shameful, MJ, shameful.
