You'd have to watch Cats to see more pussies crying.

Some kind of monster was a great sequel to spinal tap, this film just seems like a remake.

I was looking high and low for a reference to Metallica in the story when I finally realized that it was an incredibly weak joke by Subby

Like Metallica or not, that was just lame.

And Rolling Stone will start being somewhat relevant to me if they ever take Thom Yorke's dick out of the editors mouths.

The drummer's name is Rob Reiner.

For realz

I love it! Hope this film helps them get some recognition.

Lame headline subby...
At least you got a greenlight, more than I'll ever do, so hats off to you.
...and you reminded me of midget KISS for some reason.
At least that was funny.

Where's the Metallica connection? Maybe let someone funnier handle the headlines. Epic fail for subby.

I always thought "Rattle and Hum" was a real life "This is Spinal Tap", right down to the obligatory "Idiots in Graceland" scene.

Did you not understand the article, or have you never seen Spinal Tap? The article suggested this doco was a real-life Spinal Tap, which for many, was replicated in reality by Metallica's Some Kind Of Monster (you have to give them kudos for agreeing to release it).

I loved the headline subby. The dissenters have either not seen Some Kind of Monster or they are among the handful of Metallica fans left.

Do people often make a habit of just reading the first couple of words of a headline? Or did you read the whole thing and it was jusy over your head?

You FAIL. In fact, you FAIL twofold. Not only did you wrongly diagnose an epic FAIL, you also failed to put FAIL in all-caps. You always put FAIL in all-caps.

You, ma'am, FAIL. Please change your name to browntimmaaaay! Thank you.

Behold (new window)

The only way Metallica can re-gain any credibility is if James and Kirk reform Spastik Children.

Do you have any artificial plates or limbs?

Not really, no.

Anvil are still around? I remember every damn metal magazine in the world had pictures of Lips playing a solo using a vibrator to play slide. I think the band was more known for that then any of their music.

"Mad Dog" is totally on my list of top 37 songs of 1988!

Fug Metallica - they've got the only music I purposely steal online anymore.

NAPSTER BAD!!!

To all:
He only mentioned Metallica in the headline because otherwise it wouldn't be greenlit and no one would post here. It's as simple as that. I'd allow it if the headline was clever or funny but it clearly isn't.

epic "FAIL" for all of you.

"This Is Spinal Tap" and "Some Kind of Monster" are the only two documentaries that have ever been made about a rock band. "Anvil!" is the third.

/obviously

LOL, well said. One of the funniest comments I've read in response to someone whinning about actually having to pay for music.
