Given the probability of a rioting Palestinian to explode in front of a coffee shop, would you want to let them into your country?

Could always return the Strip to Egypt, as it was from '48 to '67.

"Why do we have to worry about our relations with Israel more than the lives of innocent Palestinian men and women who are being killed by the Israelis?"

Israel: Nukes

Palestine: Rocks

The only people who have treated the Palestinians worse than the Jews are Arabs. Palestinians: "We would like to settle in Egypt with our Arab brothers..." Egypt: Uhh, then Israel wouldn't have a Palestinian problem...(pulls trigger)

Who are these "innocent" Palestinians that Israelis are killing? Is it the innocent ones who go into high schools and start stabbing kids? The ones that blow themselves up on public buses? The ones lobbing rockets into civilian neighborhoods?

These asshats get what they deserve. Maybe they should support peace loving leaders instead of inciting Jihad on everyone that's not muslim.

Which leaves me to wonder... if the Egyptians are so concerned for their Arab brethren, why not occupy the Strip once more? Provide welfare, access to the greater Egyptian market ... hell, you know, shoulder the burden of the "oppressed" rather than continually blame the Israelis for not providing aid to the people who blow themselves up on Israeli buses.

Rocket Threat from the Gaza Strip, 2000-2007 (new window). Know how many Israelis have been killed by rocket/mortar attacks during that time? Twenty. (See paragraph 4 of that report - which comes from the Israeli government, by the way.)

Yar, those rocket attacks sure are deadly. Israel mows down 20 Palestinians a week - or day, depending on the IDF's viciousness.

I'm sure Egypt is sincerely sorry for not facilitating in the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians.

EwoksSuck 2008-01-25 06:03:05 PM
Yeah the Palestinians are being used by all sides. Of course most of the people in the world are being used to some degree for the benefit of few power hungry elites who don't give a shiat about anything but power.

I_Love_Cheesecake: Yar, those rocket attacks sure are deadly. Israel mows down 20 Palestinians a week - or day, depending on the IDF's viciousness.

There are alarm systems installed in cities like Sderot (Color Red AKA Red Dawn) which gives people enough time to reach their bomb shelters before the rockets reach the ground. I have this feeling that you had no idea.

Yar, try living with your family in a city who suffers rockets attacks, sometimes several times a day, for 7 years. A constant threat of death from above will be invigorating for you, i'm sure.

And how dare Israel fight back against someone who declared Jihad on them and attack them daily ? they should just stand still and croak.

Moron. Maybe Egypt and Jordan should take back the Gaza strip and West Bank respectively like Israel offered in the past and then govern them justly (they refused FYI. even though all those "palestinians" used to be "Egyptians" and "Jordanians" prior to 1967). Oh thats right...the Arab nations only want to use the Palestinians as a proxy military force to fight the Israelis since the cowards can't farking do it themselves.

homerdrew415 2008-01-25 06:16:35 PM
Gaza? Oh you mean northeast Egypt...I see, and how about West Bank? OH! the West Bank of Jordan? Jordan like the Jordan river you mean? Of course! how stupid of me....

LOL the palestinians can come in to Egypt and try to overthrow the government like they did with Jordan.

...or a lot less if you have real news sources, and don't take your casualty figures from Hamas press releases (like AP usually does). The death figures also drop a lot of you don't count "Israeli-caused deaths" by adding in the Palestinians shot in the head by their own people.

Yeah, things are so incredibly horrible in Palestine that the population has grown from 500,000 or so in 1948 to 2.5 million now... with a standard of living for Palestinians living in Israel that's still higher than the standard for Palestinians living in any of the surrounding countries.

Then there's the trivia question "Which Mideast country allows Palestinians to vote?"

Dude, Egypt and Jordan wanted Gaza and the West Bank back, for years. But as part of settlements with Israel, both have rescinded any claim on the Occupied Territories.

Also, any question as to whether the designation "Palestinian" existed prior to 1967 is irrelevant because today, in 2008, it certainly does exist.

It's quite revealing that you view "Arabs" as nothing more than a homogenized horde of amorphous brown-skinned people.

Quiet Sharmoota, before we chop off your hands and hang you as a homosexual or stone you to death for being a woman outside without her husband.

Seriously what kind of farked up culture doesn't allow for booze. I am making a new rule. Any culture, religion, etc. that forbids me drinking shots of Jim Beam or some other firewater (that drove indians to own casinos) should be burned to the ground, and then fat chicks can jump on the ashes until they turn to diamonds.

Damba 2008-01-25 06:31:07 PM
I think that the "death to Israel" comment was an attempt at sarcasm by the submitter. He meant to outline a situation that could not directly be blamed on Israel (the Egyptian decision on whether or not to care for Palestinian refugees, as opposed to what caused their refugee status) and then blame it on Israel.

Judging from the comments, I don't believe the sarcasm was very successful.

homerdrew415 2008-01-25 06:33:57 PM
I must apologize, as I misspelled an Arab curse word. The proper spelling is sharmouta, which means whore or Paris Hilton in American English.

Simply untrue. I would really like to see the source for this info.

Of course, and as the palestinians said themselves:
"The Palestinian people does not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand that we posit the existence of a distinct "Palestinian people" to oppose Zionism."

Now that's just common knowledge. And if it's not common knowledge to you, then you don't know enough about Israel/Palestine to be spouting these little pontifications.

As a leader in the PLO i believe he does. In fact he is quite tame compared to what Hamas and other terrorists say on a weekly basis.

Do you even have a primary source for this comment?

Sure. You can google it back to the original interview in a Dutch paper.

And even if you do have one, this guy may just be a Pan-Arabist expressing his personal point of view.

Nope. Guess again.

Ben_Smokin was the one who tossed out the "race card" by insinuating that Arabs are just an amalgamated stew with no distinctions. It's a common tactic used to justify ethnically cleansing Palestinians. Because if they're just a small slice of the much larger Arab swamp then they shouldn't have any problem just up and leaving to make way for the settlers.

The common knowledge is what is know as "The Three Noes", the result of the arab leaders meeting after the war in Khartoum, i suggest you look it up because so far you expressed overwhelming ignorance of the history involved.

Again, i would really love to see your source for this interesting info.

It's a well known quote, obviously not to someone who has no clue about the subject.

What your pathetic analysis misses is that the so called "Three Noes" implicity aknowledged the the 1948 borders.

Again, i would really love to see your source for this interesting info.

So your basic contention is that Israel didn't want the Occupied Territories? They only had any interest in them because Egypt and Jordan didn't want them?
