A conservative, successful woman? She's got my vote! Can't we have her as the first female prez, rather than Hillary?

/yes, that's right, a male conservative would like to see a female succeed. stick it, stereotypers

I thought Arnie was a Republican? I guess in 2010 he'll be no longer eligible to run, right? So she'll be next one up. Cool.

Correct. Not to mention she's a moderate and very wealthy. However never underestimate the California GOP to shoot themselves in the foot. The only reason Arnold got his foot in the door and made it to office was due to the open-ended nature of the recall ballot, not because he got the blessing of the state's party heads.

This article brings to the tables an interesting candidate. I would be interested in seeing her run for my states top spot. I would like to hear more about her. (Moderate, succesful, maybe foot the (majority of) the bill for running).

/my seat
//center aisle please.

Good. I hope she helps in the effort to squeeze out the Jesus-freaks from the California Republican party.

/Non-partisan voter desperately wanting more viable choices on the ballot.
//Tired of the endless douchebag parade where the choices are nothing but hippies, fascists, and fundies.

QFT

No problem with a woman pres, just has to be a conservative one. She seems a prefect candidate for government, I hope she does well.

This. Arnie would have never won in a California Republican primary. He's basically an anti-tax Democrat, liberal on social issues-and that's the only way a Republican can win state-wide in California. But Republican voters in California are (in general) very right wing, so they always manage to nominate the most insane extremist possible, who then loses by twenty points to whoever the Democrats nominate.

That's right, the Repubs keep giving us Fundies and Fascists, and the Dems' give us Hippies.

God damn useless motherf*ckers.

FTFA: A moderate, she is a billionaire who could fund her own campaign. She ranked No. 361 on Forbes' 2007 list of the richest Americans, with an estimated net worth of $1.4 billion.

Whitman has spent her professional life in the corporate sector, as an executive at toy maker Hasbro, Florists Transworld Delivery, Stride Rite Corp. and the Walt Disney Co

Ah, the American political roller-coaster.

You must be this tall (in Billions) to get on this ride.

Remember when kids used to be told that anyone could grow up to be President?

Now it's only Billionaires and folks born into political dynasties who have a shot.

So much for the "classless society".

Admittedly, you still got the other definition of "classless" going for y'all.
