I actually enjoy NYC, but, like any city, I avoid some areas, and not for fear of poo.

Hahahaha, that was funny. There are a lot of areas I don't go to, and I live here. I figured, if you just stay in the lower Manhattan area (while not doing touristy stuff) you'll be ok.

well actually the thought of you guys 'painting the town brown' to appease what you percieve our 'society' to be into cracked me up too. "Their ways are so strange, but if that's what our cultural adviser says we should do then... (sigh) I guess that's what we gotta do!"

(and your advice is pretty much the way we do it. Got friends who live there. Don't get there much but it's ALWAYS a good time. Will probably hit Yankee Stadium this year just to see it for the last time.)
