I think watching that video is enough to get most people stoned.

Four minutes, one key. Acid deserves more.

That was cool. I didn't get it... still, cool.

I suspect it's more a question of how much did you do over how long a period of time leading up to the production of this vid. Then it's just a matter of applying your experience to its conception and execution. I never do more than a "cup of coffee" dose when I'm actually working on something.

Almost as much LSD that it took to make Strawberry fields forever

Sometimes talented people spend more time on production than even I do.

Better Music, not as trippy video though (new window)

Their new album came out yesterday and its pretty sweet if you like psychedelic stoner rock I'm always surprised when a little band from Vancouver makes Rolling Stone (not that rolling stone is anything to be proud of these days)

Holy crap. I dug around to confirm my suspicions, and that is in fact Stanley Unwin at the start of the video. Those of you who are fans of '60s psychedelia may remember him as the narrator on the second half of The Small Faces' album Ogdens' Nut Gone Flake, released way back in 1967.

The more you know...

At least partially. ;)

MasterSFV 2008-01-23 08:07:27 PM
Long time since I came across Stanley Unwin. For the 0.1% of Farkers who have heard of "Unwinese" here is the master with the "Carry-On" gang.

Just watched a doc on Ronnie Lane a couple nights ago, thought that guy looked familiar. There's also clips of that with him (Stanley) on YouTube.

I'm not on acid right now (I think), but mine kept freezing or something, unless I was moving my mouse across the youtube screeen!

1994 called, and the old trance scene wants it's sound back. This is a new single? Stupid pop crap.

uncledeercamp 2008-01-24 07:37:42 AM
It's a moving Ozric Tentacles album cover.

It's 1994 song, rereleased in 1998

/Not everybody understands house music. It's a spiritual thing, a body thing, a soul thing

/Not everybody understands house music. It's whitey suburban thing, a thing for people who don't know how to dance, a thing where they require a repetitive 4/4 beat at 130 minutes to be played for hours on end.

ftfy

steve_s: /Not everybody understands house music. It's thing invented by black inner city people, a thing for people who don't know how to do The Chicken dance, a thing where they require 4/4 beat at 118-135 bpm to be played for duration of song.
