I was curious. Then I was sad.

And also, it's stick a fork in him. Not put a fork in him.

The article headline is unintentionally funny.

FATALITY

At least Darwin got him early.

I was hoping for a forklift impalement story, instead I get a heavy vehicle flips over story.

FINISH HIM

phlegmmo 2008-01-20 11:11:48 PM
While his father went inside to change clothes, the boy climbed atop a parked forklift - with keys left in the ignition - and began driving.

That got a lift out of me.

Someone needs to make a forklift driving video game. Start it out with simple shiat like stacking pallets, then graduate to unloading a truck with fragile cargo and stacking it on unsteady warehouse racks.

I'd buy the shiat out of that game.

While I do feel sorry for the kid, the headline made me picture Scorpion behind the wheel of the forklift.

/I giggled
//Then I felt bad

Not to be that guy, subby, but technically he wan't impaled by the forklift. He was merely crushed by it.

KungFuJesus 2008-01-20 11:17:01 PM

Bwahaha... Your ideas intrigue me and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter.

On the other hand, you better hope to God some EA employee(s) don't troll Fark otherwise you might be out on a cool buck from licensing rights...

Darwin indeed, I've driven a fork truck when I worked in a warehouse, and we have one at the shop I work at now. We used to race the damn things around, spinning wheels around corners... you have to be pretty farking stupid to flip one.

My prediction: Father fired for stupidity and workplace negligence that lead to a death. Family tries to sue, but work place lawyers are successful. OSHA fines the lumberyard into bankruptcy.

It is sad, but there is no such thing as innocent anymore.

No one is to blame except the kid. In this day and age when 8 year olds can kidnap and kill another kid and 12 year olds are caught giving BJs to there BF's (not teachers) in school, innocence is all but lost. This kid was just plan dumb and Darwinism resulted.

just like capitalism and feminism, there are no social taboos anymore and it is every person for themselves. You created your unruled chaos now live in it.

:D

"21/2-ton forklift for a joy ride and caused it to flip over on top of him"

1) Props on getting a 2.5 ton forklift to completely flip over

2) Like in all the war movies where the tank roles over the soldier... I've always been curious as to what squished human looks like.

Only Union Members are allowed to run the machines. The union members should hoist that kid's body high to let everyone know what happens when a member fails to comply.

Well, I hope he got crushed immediately and didn't suffer...Coulda been worse...

My brother in Iraq, his squad got hit with an IED the other day. One of the guys in his group was trapped under his overturned truck and burned to death. As if that wasn't shiatty enough, they all wear comm. systems, and his was stuck in the on position as he was consumed by the flames. So yeah, my brother and the entire unit had to listen to this guy screaming as he slowly burned to death, as they tried in vain to flip the truck and get him.

I hope he comes back home alive first off... and second, I hope he's not entirely farked up from all the shiat he's been through. He's only 20

Oh great, FTFA: While his father went inside to change clothes, the boy climbed atop a parked forklift - with keys left in the ignition - and began driving.

Lawsuit time, because you can capitalize on your kid's stupidity in this country.
