(YouTube) Video This music video was a big hit in 1994. Its downfall came when people realized you couldn't go to a concert and yell "We want Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm"   (youtube.com) divider line 18

Then there's the karaoke version by a big shirtless Bear!
Mike Sings Mmmm Mmmm Mmmm

I like how when it starts he totally fails to impress his dog.

I've always liked the Weird Al version better.

I think the Crash Test Dummies' first album "The Ghosts that Haunt Me" is very underrated and a very good album. Just the right combination of good lyrics, good music, pop/folk/rock sound. And a unique singer. Even after first listening to it in like 1991, I still come back to it. I think that "God Shuffled his Feet" is a bit of a lesser album overall, but has a few great tracks.

I, too, came to laud the earlier album, "The Ghosts That Haunt Me." Great record.

It was kind of cool to hear a singer with a voice that low outside of death metal.

/i.e. "Cookie Monster" music

I was once in a game of charades where the person up front for the other team was trying to act this out - everyone in our team knew what it was, and it was pretty funny watching the other team scratch their hair out.

I miss the days when "in 1994" was filtered into "inubian".

That was great. Usually anyone talking about something in 1994 was Clinton-bashing, and it confused them.

I hate this song so much. And not just because it has a similar title to one of the biggest singles by my favorite singer in life.

Salute the Major! (new window)

Saw them perform this at EdgeFest '94. Good God, they were awful.
